    Abstract: An apparatus and method for preventing contamination of the Post Anesthesia Care Unit of A Hospital by the use of a mask sealed to the patient's face and connected by a ventilator circuit to an airator that pulls a vacuum to exhaust the patient's expirations to the outside atmosphere. The disclosure also includes a "oxyvent" which is a tube adapted to be attached to an oxygen tank and to a patient to provide a higher oxygen ratio to the patient and to provide forced ventilation to a patient who has difficulty ventilating.

    Abstract: A valve (18) is disclosed for venting a liquid dispensing container. The valve comprises a valve body upper end (76), an intermediate portion (78) adapted to mount through a sidewall aperture, and a semi-spherical lower end portion (80). An air passageway (96) extends into the valve upper end (76), and through the portion (78) to the lower portion (80). A slit opening (94) extends through the lower portion (80) and communicates with the passageway (96). The slit widens to equalize pressure in the container, and annular shoulder surfaces (92) and internal surfaces (62) of the container sidewall are compressed together. When equalization in pressure has been achieved, the lower valve portion (8) decompresses and resumes its normal configuration whereby causing the slit (94) to close. Surfaces (92, 62) have a complimentary downward angle to facilitate the return of the lower portion (80) into its semi-spherical shape.

    Abstract: A container lid (10) is disclosed for enclosing a container (12). The lid has a top wall (14), and a peripheral rim flange (18) dimensioned to flex outward and receive the upper rim of the container therebetween. The rim flange (18) terminates at a downturned skirt (20). A lever arm skirt portion (32) is provided to extend vertically downward from the lid rim flange, and tapers inward from a top end (38) to a bottom end (40). The lever arm (32) is pivotal outward, whereby applying a force moment to the rim flange (18) which serves to break the seal between the rim flange and the outside rim surface (34) of the container (12), and allow the lid to be easily removed therefrom.

    Abstract: A mop (10) includes a handle (11), a grip handle (12) slidably received on the handle (11), a linkage and squeeze wire assembly (13), a mounting and operating assembly (14) and a mop pad (15) carried thereby. The mounting and operating assembly (14) includes a shroud (31) carrying the handle (11) and pivotally carrying a squeeze wire (24). The shroud (31) also pivotally carries a pair of paddles (33) which carry the mop pad (15) and which are provided with wear pads (58) attached thereto. Movement of the grip handle (12) along the handle (11) causes the squeeze wire (24) to pivot via linkage (22). The squeeze wire (24) engages the wear pads (58) to pivot the paddles (33) to fold and thereby squeeze the mop pad (15).

    Abstract: A folding knife including the combination of a blade sandwiched between a pair of bolsters which are connected to a handle and a pivot pin extending between the bolsters and through an end of the blade. The forward edge of each bolster has a surface of an arcuate configuration and the confronting rearward end of the blade has a surface of an arcuate configuration substantially similar to that of the bolsters to permit the blade and bolsters to meet in sliding engagement when the blade is in an opened or closed position. The knife is particularly useful for activities such as hunting or fishing.
