  • Patent number: 11471402
Abstract: A hydrogel-based biological delivery vehicle used to effectively deliver drug and biological material to tissue or organ sites. More specifically, a hydrogel binding matrix having a biopolymer backbone containing carboxyl groups. Tyramine may be substituted for at least a portion of the carboxyl groups, so that, when hydrogen peroxide is added, it causes creation of covalent bonds between tyramine molecules and cross-links the hydrogel binding matrix, thereby enabling the hydrogel binding matrix to transition from liquid to gel state. The hydrogel binding matrix, in its liquid form, is capable of encapsulating drug reservoirs to create a homogenous liquid with evenly distributed particles containing drugs or target molecules. As the hydrogel binding matrix solidifies into a gel state, the newly created cross-links do not disrupt or react with the drugs or target molecules contained within the drug reservoirs. This hydrogel-based biological delivery vehicle can be used in several medical applications.

  • Patent number: 11443486
Abstract: An arrangement for obtaining body measurements of a person includes a garment configured to be form fitted to the person, a reference target, and a handheld digital camera. A surface of the garment includes a plurality of first fiducials which are photogrammetrically analyzable. The reference target includes a plurality of second fiducials that are photogrammetrically analyzable. The plurality of second fiducials on the reference target facilitate producing a 3D model true to scale and in a recognized orientation to a surface on which the person is standing. The handheld digital camera acquires a plurality of successive images of the garment and reference target as the digital camera is moved around the person. A computer processes the plurality images by methods of photogrammetry to produce a 3D model of the body. A portable stabilization device may be held by the person to reduce movement and control arm spacing during image acquisition.

  • Patent number: 11417958
Abstract: An omnidirectional quad-loop antenna has four open circular wire loops, each being the same length as the wavelength of a wireless signal. The loops are joined at their tops and each lies in a distinct plane that is rotated 45 degrees with respect to each adjoining wire loop. The bottom terminal ends of the loops are configured to connect to the outer conductor of a coaxial cable. A helical wire coil may be connected at one end to the loops at the connection point, or insulated from the loops, and the other end is configured to connect to the inner conductor of the cable. With the antenna and cable connected to a device, the wireless signal is much stronger, in any direction, than without. The compact antenna fits within the volume of a sphere with a circumference corresponding to the wavelength.
