  • Publication number: 20110065491
Abstract: A lottery system including a device to receive and input a unique identifier associated with a lottery ticket wherein the unique identifier including a coded predetermined outcome. The lottery system also includes a remote server to receive a download request from the device and the device downloads software from the remote server. The device executes the downloaded software and the device transmits the unique identifier into the software upon a prompt from the software. The software verifies the unique identifier and validates the device to access to a program from the software. The device executes the program and the execution of the program reveals the coded predetermined outcome.

  • Publication number: 20100173691
Abstract: A lottery system that includes a device including a processor, a device storage, an input device, and a display and a server to communicate with the device. The server includes a datastore which includes a table of unique identifiers associated with predetermined outcomes and software. The server compares a unique identifier to the identifiers in the table and upon a match of the unique identifier with one of the identifiers in the table, the server validates the device to access the software. The software is retrievable from the server by the device and the software is downloadable by the device processor and storable on the device storage. The downloaded software is executable by the device and the unique identifier is transmitted to the software. The predetermined outcome of the unique identifier is revealed on the display.

  • Patent number: 7025250
Abstract: An automatic gravity-actuated mailbox indicator is adapted for use in combination with a mailbox including a housing with an access opening for receiving mail and a pivoted door for closing the access opening. The mailbox indicator includes a conspicuous object adapted for being viewed from a distance. A supporting stem extends from the object, and has a free end for being wedged between the pivoted door and housing of the mailbox with the door in a closed position. The object is temporarily held at an elevated location relative to the mailbox housing. The mailbox indicator is actuated by gravity upon movement of the pivoted door from the closed position to an open position, such that the object falls from the elevated location to a lowered location thereby providing a readily visible indication of an opening of the pivoted door.

  • Patent number: 5948353
Abstract: Improved gray iron compositions comprise at least about 90 weight % iron, at least about 3.40 weight % carbon, from about 1 to 2.5 weight % silicon, from about 0.4 to 1.0 weight % manganese, and from about 0.02 to 0.07 weight % tin. Preferably, the gray iron compositions of the invention also include from about 0.2 to about 0.5 weight % chromium, and may further preferably include from about 0.25 to 0.75% molybdenum and/or from about 0.3 to 1.0% copper, and may optionally also include small amounts (less than about 1%) of such elements as titanium or vanadium, as examples. The gray iron compositions which may advantageously be used in the manufacture of vehicle brake components, especially the braking surfaces of vehicle brake drums or brake rotors.

  • Patent number: 4966562
Abstract: A mounting for a digital service line repeater comprises a housing having a base and a removable cover, electrical components for electrically connecting the line repeater to signal wires, and a fastening device for removably attaching the base of another mounting to the removable cover. The fastening device includes a threaded hole in the cover for receiving a fastener, and the base includes an aperture aligned with the threaded hole for receiving a fastener. The mounting can be stacked on and mounted to a second similar mounting by a fastener passing through the aperture in the base for receipt in the threaded hole in the cover of the second mounting. The cover is removably attached to the base by accessible fasteners at the side walls, and the base includes a slot for receiving the line repeater.

  • Patent number: 4241847
Abstract: An automatic vending machine for delivering stackable containers having edible product therein. A container discharge station--especially for cones--is provided with at least one stack of containers disposed in a position vertically above an arm for clampingly engaging the containers and movement of the containers below a product dispensing nozzle and into a delivery chamber. The cones are dropped one at a time from the one or more stacks through an opening in a plate into operative engagement with the arm. A guide structure is located vertically between the at least one container stack and the arm, guiding the dropping of the containers into association with the arm so that the containers will not be misaligned or inverted during dropping and will be positively guided into operative association with the arm.

  • Patent number: 4232798
Abstract: An automatic vending machine for delivering soft ice cream or the like to ice cream cones or other containers. A pivotally mounted arm receives a cone and then moves to a product-dispensing station. The product is dispensed into the cone until a weight-responsive structure associated with the arm senses the predetermined weight of the product and stops delivery of the product to the cone. Then the arm is moved so that it deposits the cone in a delivery chamber and then is moved out of the delivery chamber back to a position to receive another cone. Mechanical latch structures are provided for latching the door to the delivery chamber in closed position until the arm has been completely withdrawn from the delivery chamber and a rod connects the arm to the latch for effecting unlatching of the door in response to movement of the arm so that the door is unlatched after the movement of the arm out of the delivery chamber.
