  • Publication number: 20110310596
Abstract: A high mast post mounted light emitting device such as street or parking lot illuminates, and the like, has an energy source of a wind turbine with at least one blade and a solar panel with solar cells to recharge a bank of batteries when necessary, and a light source of at least one light emitting diode. A cap member seals the inner portions of the light guide housing from the elements in addition to a lens covering which also acts as a diffuser. Said light guide housing possesses at least one rectangular slot for at least one attachable LED strip. A second embodiment includes an indoor ceiling mounted post-less illumination unit. A diffusing sheet about said light guide housing may also be included to add a sparkling effect to illumination produced by said unit.

  • Publication number: 20110277362
Abstract: A direct point LED sign employs the use of flat head LED's embedded within a mirrored reflective panel where an upper layer of varying distance from the mirrored surface comprises a crushed ice diffuser with an irregular front surface which reflects and intensifies light passing therein creating an enlarged surface area of the LED's. This in turn greatly increases the readability of the character members in road and highway signs, commercial signs, or individual letters, numbers, and symbols.

  • Publication number: 20110260470
Abstract: A tribrid electric transportation system including a dual generator wind turbine to produce wind energy, a solar panel mounted to the roof gathers a secondary source of solar energy, and a diesel fueled electric generator or fuel cell adds a third source of energy to an electric motor to propel the vehicle forward. The vehicle may consist of a plurality of vehicle types. A switching and control system allows the battery bank to be recharged when necessary, from any of the three primary sources of energy. The system is designed to have at least two energy sources directly power the electric motor, thereby preserving the battery pack as reserve energy when needed. An emergency backup charging unit may be available if the battery bank cannot be sufficiently recharged by the tribrid solar, wind and diesel generator or fuel cell systems.

  • Publication number: 20110235183
Abstract: A grooved lined mirror consists of a mounting substrate of plastic or similar substances whereby the surface is aligned by a plurality of chambers vertically along the substrate. These vertical separations in the substrate produce grooved lines along the perpendicular surface which is affixed by mirror film or poly gal. The substrate can be planar in shape are consist of a plurality of different angled V-shape bends to intensify effect. At least prismatic irregular surfaced sheet acts to diffuse the light reflected from the mirrored surface, thus producing enhanced angle reflected light spectra with a high intensity glow that's projected. The present invention may be applied, but not limited to, lighting, art, signs, edge moldings, shapes, logos, planters, and other surfaces.

  • Publication number: 20110232185
Abstract: A collapsible rack and row self watering planter and rain water collection system consists of a fully enclosed frame of columns and rows of planters used to grow crops or plants on a small or large scale. Each row of planters consists of at least one horizontal wick tube spanning the distal length of said row, whereby each planter of said row is individually irrigated by means of a plurality of rubber wick hoses which in turn are fed from the horizontal wick tube. Rain channels and gutters are built along the perimeter of said unit to catch and store rain water in the poly mesh storage reservoir. A solar panel sits aside or atop the unit to gather solar energy and in addition, when mounted atop said frame, provides shading for the planters. A plurality of wind turbines are mounted along the main frame atop, or beside the unit and act to gather wind energy. Both solar and wind energy are stored in battery units or sent to nearby power grids.

  • Publication number: 20110089698
Abstract: A single or dual aligned synchronized generator and variable speed direct drive wind turbine for installation on a wind farm, solar and wind powered self watering farm, building, light post, atop roofs and other mountable locations employs either a vertical or horizontal shaft less wind turbine system. The system takes advantage of low or high wind speed conditions with specially designed geometrically shaped turbine blades of light weight. The hollow center allows the turbine to operate under less weight and stress than traditional turbine systems. The blades are designed to minimize negative forces, stresses and drag. Electrical energy may be stored or directly transmitted to a grid system. In addition the system employs a photovoltaic panel to collect solar energy to be used in addition to the wind energy created.

  • Publication number: 20110023357
Abstract: An improved plant container consisting of an interior of recycled polystyrene foam panels enclosed within a metallic wire mesh that is enclosed by an interior and exterior layer of cement is formed by a unique wooden or plastic mold consisting of a solid male and collapsible female mold. This planter is designed to be light weight, allow for improved drainage and/or retention of moisture while allowing for improved air circulation throughout the plants soil, therefore preventing under and over watering of a plant preventing root rot or severe dryness. the planter is specially designed despite its lighter weight to allow for easy transport by means of a built in pallet at its base.

  • Publication number: 20100175318
Abstract: A solar illuminated planter consists of a base of plastic or of a metallic substance that is attached to a vertical light post which is directly attached. The planter is fitted unto the base with the vertical post rising upward in the center of the interior of the planter. The vertical post is then fitted with an outer tubing of various sizes, the space created between the post and the outer tubing comprising a container for storing liquids. This outer tube is capped by plastic or metallic covering. Along the perimeter of the cap is a plurality of openings fitted with rubber hosing and encapsulating a wicking material which is netted at either end of the rubber hosing to transport moisture from the storage container to the planter.
