  • Patent number: 7366537
Abstract: The performance and ease of management of wireless communications environments is improved by a mechanism that enables access points (APs) to perform automatic channel selection. A wireless network can therefore include multiple APs, each of which will automatically choose a channel such that channel usage is optimized. Furthermore, APs can perform automatic power adjustment so that multiple APs can operate on the same channel while minimizing interference with each other. Wireless stations are load balanced across APs so that user bandwidth is optimized. A movement detection scheme provides seamless roaming of stations between APs.

  • Publication number: 20080093384
Abstract: A portable beverage dispenser includes a portable ice chest, a dispensing valve device, a pressurization system, and a line system. The line system couples one or more beverage containers in the ice chest to the pressurization system through one or more gas lines, and couples the beverage containers to the dispensing valve device through one or more beverage lines. Actuating the dispensing valve device opens a valve and allows the beverage to flow into a cup under force of the pressurization system. • Publication number: 20080098477
Abstract: In one embodiment, a technique for enhancing the inspection of data sent from a server is provided. By modifying a client request in an effort to prevent the transformation (e.g., encoding and/or compression) of data by the server, unencoded data may be received, which can be inspected without the overhead associated with first decoding the data. Further, in the event the data is encoded despite modifying the client request to prevent such encoding, the server may be untrustworthy and one or more appropriate actions may be taken.

  • Publication number: 20080097210
Abstract: A diagnostic imaging method and ultrasound system are described for detecting abnormalities of the left ventricle of the heart. A sequence of images including the mitral valve is acquired and processed to identify the location of the mitral valve in each of the images in the sequence. A graphic is displayed with the images depicting the location of the mitral valve in the current image and in each of the preceding images of the sequence. Preferably the mitral valve location is identified by automatic detection of the mitral valve plane in each of the images. A desirable graphic color-codes each of the successively different mitral valve locations in the graphic. The image and graphic can be viewed in real time to discern the effects of conduction delay and infarction of the left ventricle.
