  • Publication number: 20160287297
Abstract: A bone plate system for repair of a proximal humeral head fracture, which includes a fixation plate having a main body and a depending alignment flange, a plurality of elongated compression screws to extend through the intact humeral head into the cortical bone of the fractured portion and a cover plate. With the fixation plate in place, fastened to the humerus, the cover plate is in turn fastened to the fixation plate and provides a defined amount of clearance in a region adjacent the heads of the compression screws to allow measured back-out of the screws upon settling of the fractured bone portion at the fracture site.
    Type: Application
    Filed: June 15, 2016
    Publication date: October 6, 2016

  • Patent number: 9301789
Abstract: An osteosynthesis plate according to the invention has at least two legs, which are spaced apart and interconnected by at least one bridge element. The legs each have a certain length and extend in the longitudinal direction from an epiphyseal to a diaphyseal end of the osteosynthesis plate. Moreover, each leg has at least one opening for holding an anchoring element. The size and shape of the bridge element and the legs are configured such that the legs may be applied on both sides of a bone in the region of a joint, preferably on the olecranon.

  • Patent number: 7857780
Abstract: System, including method and apparatus, for applying traction to a patient's limb using constant-force springs. The constant-force springs may include one or more main springs that apply a base tractive force and at least one supplementary spring that can apply a supplementary tractive force to the limb. The at least one supplementary spring may be changeable reversibly between uncoupled and coupled configurations while the base tractive force is applied continuously to the limb and without repositioning the limb, thereby providing discrete adjustment of traction force while the limb remains in traction.

  • Patent number: 7771378
Abstract: An orthopedic traction tower system, and components thereof, for use in surgery, fracture repair, and/or radiography. The traction tower system may include a base for receiving the proximal end of a patient's limb, a tower arm for applying tractive forces to a distal end of a patient's limb, and a joint that movably connects the base and the tower arm such that the tower arm can be positioned for surgical access and/or for applying different types of traction, among others.
