  • Publication number: 20240093826
Abstract: Method and system for mapping and/or inspecting an underground pipeline infrastructure, using: a sensor probe for collecting geospatial data while travelling through a pipeline of the pipeline infrastructure, and a driving mechanism comprising a tether, for driving the sensor probe, wherein the sensor probe is provided to enter the pipeline at a vertical angle through a live-fluid entry apparatus and once inside the pipeline make a 90° angle change of direction to align with the orientation of the pipeline.

  • Patent number: 11821564
Abstract: A method and system for pipeline purging with reduced environmental impact. A vacuum and/or compressor system purges air or other gases from at least a section of the pipeline to create a vacuum in the pipeline. The vacuum can then be replaced with a fuel gas, avoiding a mixing of fuel and oxidant in the pipeline. The vacuum and/or compressor system can include a fuel gas monitoring leak-detection system to monitor for fuel presence in the purging air.

  • Patent number: 11427467
Abstract: The invention provides a calcined Fex—Aly—Oz based catalyst for the decomposition of hydrocarbons such as methane to produce hydrogen and carbon. The catalyst comprises iron oxide mixed with aluminum oxide and calcined at temperatures above 1100° C., where Fex—Aly—Oz is a chemical composition with x>0.1, y>0.1, z?0 and 0<x/y<200. Reaction of the calcined Fex—Aly—Oz catalyst with methane generates a product stream comprising at least 40 vol. % H2 and carbon. In an embodiment, carbon is separated from the catalyst and the catalyst is reused for continuous methane decomposition to produce H2.

  • Patent number: 11059721
Abstract: Materials, methods of making, and methods of providing a trimetallic oxygen carrier for converting methane containing fuel to synthesis gas. The trimetallic oxygen carrier comprises CuxFeyMnzOt, where CuxFeyMnzOt is a chemical composition with 0<x?3 and 0<y?3 and 0<z?3 and, 0<t?5. For example, CuxFeyMnzOt may be one of CuMnFeO4, CuFe0.5Mn1.5O4, CuFeMn2O4, CuFe2MnO4, or Cu impregnated on FerMnsOu, Fe impregnated on CurMnsOu, Mn impregnated on CurFesOu where r>0, s>0 and u>0 and combinations thereof. Reaction of trimetallic CuxFeyMnzOt with methane generates a product stream comprising at least 50 vol. % CO and H2.
