Abstract: A shaped cutter is disclosed for use on a drill bit. In one or more example, the shaped cutter includes a substrate including a proximal end and a distal end and defining a cutter axis extending between the proximal and distal ends. A cutting table secured to the proximal end of the substrate includes a cutting face with a central boss axially extending from the cutting face and a plurality of ribs radially extending across the cutting face from the boss to a periphery of the cutting table. The cutting face may recede axially from the periphery towards the central boss, such as by defining a planar section, a plurality of intersecting planar sections, and/or a concave (e.g., frustoconical) shape between adjacent ribs.

  • Publication number: 20240122080
Abstract: A superconductor device includes a high superconductivity transition temperature enhanced from the raw material transition temperature. The superconductor device includes a matrix material and a core material. The enhancing matrix material and the core material together create a system of strongly coupled carriers. A plurality of low-dimensional conductive features can be embedded in the matrix. The low-dimensional conductive features (e.g., nanowires or nanoparticles) can be conductors or superconductors. An interaction between electrons of the low-dimensional conductive features and the enhancing matrix material can promote excitations that increase a superconductivity transition temperature of the superconductor device.

  • Patent number: 11938317
Abstract: Energy is transmitted to a body lumen or passageway in the form of pulsed electric fields (PEFs) and in a manner which provides focal therapy. In some embodiments, PEFs are delivered through independent electrically active electrodes of an energy delivery body, typically in a monopolar fashion. Such delivery concentrates the electrical energy over a smaller surface area, resulting in stronger effects than delivery through an electrode extending circumferentially around the lumen or passageway. It also forces the electrical energy to be delivered in a staged regional approach, mitigating the effect of preferential current pathways through the surrounding tissue. Focal delivery of PEFs can provide increased tissue lethality by employing precise timing and sequencing of energy delivery to the electrodes.

  • Publication number: 20240098158
Abstract: A push notification mechanism at a mobile user device provides for automated limiting of the rate of production of push notification alerts (such as an audible alert or a vibratory alert) and/or push notifications responsive to the occurrence of chat events relevant to a chat application hosted by the user device. Some chat events automatically trigger suppression periods during which push notification alerts are prevented for subsequent chat events that satisfy predefined suppression criteria. Such push notification and/or alert limiting can be performed separately for separate users, chat groups, and/or chat event types.

  • Patent number: 11927091
Abstract: A drill bit has a plurality of cutters secured to the bit body, including a gauge cutter defining a gauge diameter of the drill bit. A reciprocating gauge assembly on the bit comprises a cavity defined in the bit body, a piston reciprocably disposed in the cavity, a wear element on an outwardly facing end of the piston, a piston retainer for moveably retaining the piston in the cavity, and a spring biasing the piston outwardly to a neutral position of the wear element with respect to the gauge diameter. The wear element and piston may be urged inwardly in response to an applied load at the drill bit gauge pad, increasing the lateral depth of cut and thereby controlling the aggressiveness of the bit in response to the load.

  • Patent number: 11914332
Abstract: Systems and methods for adaptively tuning a Proportional, Integral and Derivative (PID) controller in a zero order industrial process are provided. A method and system can involve receiving input data at one or more inputs of the PID controller and generating output data at one or more outputs of the PID controller in response to processing the input data. Error(s) associated with the controller are determined based on an analysis of a measured parameter with respect to a desired setpoint. The measured parameter may be indicated in the output data. Adaptive gain may be applied to the PID controller in response to the absolute value of the controller error both exceeding a deadband and increasing. Additionally, normal gain, which is lower than the adaptive gain, may be applied to the PID controller in response to the absolute value of the controller error either being below the deadband or decreasing.

  • Patent number: 11874819
Abstract: Various embodiments can implement a multi-system or node architecture that can be deployed on-demand and augment existing systems with pre-configured nodes that can be installed within existing architecture. The multi-node architecture is flexible for integration into many systems and can also stand alone to provide data validation and assurance. Various embodiments of the multi-node architecture enable private and public distributed ledgers (e.g., blockchains) that enhance security, enhance confidentiality, and eliminate the need to trust the provider/hosts of the data validation information and/or the hosts of the confidential information.
