  • Patent number: 4401476
Abstract: A paint roller is cleaned by being slowly rotated while immersed in a body of cleaning liquid within a container. The container is then drained and jets of rinse liquid are directed against the roller while it is rapidly rotated to free it of cleaning liquid. A final rapid rotation of the roller is conducted for spin drying. One side of the container has drain openings for maintaining a cleaning liquid level in the container during the cleaning operation wherein the roller is slowly rotated in a direction advancing its upper marginal portion toward said one side of the container.

  • Patent number: 4294272
Abstract: A receptacle is provided for receiving a paint roller therein. An elongated horizontal roller support structure is journalled within the receptacle for rotation about a horizontal axis extending longitudinally of the roller support structure. The roller support structure is adapted to have a paint roller lengthwise telescoped thereover for support therefrom and rotation therewith. An elongated horizontal water discharge manifold is supported within the housing in laterally spaced relation relative to the roller support structure and for adjustable angular displacement about the longitudinal axis of the manifold. The manifold includes water outlet jet discharge structure spaced therealong and opening outwardly from one side of the manifold toward the roller support structure. The manifold includes water inlet structure for supplying water under pressure to the interior of the manifold and structure is provided on the exterior of the receptacle for adjustably angularly displacing the manifold.

  • Patent number: 4266746
Abstract: A wide elongated upstanding rearwardly inclined support including a lower elongated, transverse shelf projecting outwardly from and extending transversely of the front side of the support toward which the lower end of the support is inclined. The shelf includes longitudinally spaced opposite end portions defining a drainage slot therebetween and the shelf opposite end portions are inclined with the adjacent ends thereof slightly downwardly inclined and project upwardly and outwardly from front side of the support. Further, structure is carried by the lower end of the support below the shelf opposite end portions and to be used in mounting the support from the upper rim portions of a paint can, paint box, or roller tray.
