Abstract: A method and apparatus for harvesting crustaceans in a shallow body of water use submerged traps in which the crustaceans are trapped connected into a piping system that is periodically flushed with water to wash the trapped crustaceans to a suitable receiver. The traps have valves that may be periodically shaken to loosen any crustaceans caught in the valves. Means are also provided to aerate the piping system and body of water. The trapping, flushing and aerating steps may be repeatedly carried out while the apparatus is maintained in a stationary position in the body of water.
