    Abstract: A retractable dome stadium or the like utilizing a plurality of generally lune-shaped dome panels mounted for movement between an open position in which they are stacked one above the other in superimposed relationship and a closed position in which they are disposed in a generally side-by-side relationship, and a mechanism for guiding and moving said panels between said open and closed positions. A method of operation is also disclosed.
