Publication number: 20220227585Abstract: A spiral conveyor system is provided to transport a plurality of articles thereon between at least one first level and at least one second level. The spiral conveyor system includes a conveyor assembly having more than one spiral conveyor. Each spiral conveyor defines a conveying surface for transporting the plurality of articles thereon. Each spiral conveyor is coupled with a support in a helical configuration such that each spiral conveyor is interleaved in an alternating configuration with another spiral conveyor about the support. Each conveying surface can selectively move in an inclining direction and in a declining direction such that the conveying surfaces can be moved simultaneously in the same or opposing directions.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 20, 2022Publication date: July 21, 2022Inventors: Nicolas T. Marois, William E. Campbell, Matthew J. Tefend

Patent number: 7825382Abstract: Systems and methods are presented herein for generating an X-ray image where the X-ray image generator has no electrical connection with an X-ray source that generates the X-rays. In an exemplary embodiment a gamma detector is positioned behind an x-ray permeable mirror within an X-ray capture device. When the gamma ray detector senses gamma radiation over a threshold level, a camera, positioned outside of the X-ray path, begins capturing an image of the X-ray. The image is then discarded if an X-ray image profile is not then detected by the gamma detector within a period of time. Such an X-ray image profile may be detected if two or more X-ray pulses with similar intensity and duration are detected within a set period of time. If an X-ray image profile is detected, then the camera continues recording the X-ray image for a predetermined time.Type: GrantFiled: June 13, 2008Date of Patent: November 2, 2010Assignee: Eklin Sub Georgia, Inc.Inventor: William E. Patent number: 7446318Abstract: Systems and methods are presented herein for generating an X-ray image where the X-ray image generator has no electrical connection with an X-ray source which generates the X-rays. In an exemplary embodiment a photon sensor is positioned behind an x-ray permeable mirror. When the photon sensor senses photons, a camera, positioned outside of the X-ray path, captures a picture containing the X-ray data. A second mirror is positioned such that the path of the X-ray image is folded such that the camera can be positioned outside of the X-ray path, but that the X-ray image still strikes the camera lens. The X-ray data is then sent to a computer for processing. Parameterization is applied to the X-ray data based upon at least one of the species of the animal being taken, the body part depicted in the X-ray, the view depicted and the amount of energy used by an X-ray generator to take the X-ray.Type: GrantFiled: June 15, 2006Date of Patent: November 4, 2008Assignee: Merlin Digital Technology LLCInventor: William E. Patent number: 6923913Abstract: A wastewater treatment product prepared from seaweed and a process for the treatment of wastewater. In a first step, seaweed is mixed with a preservative, micro-nutrient, oxygen-containing, and antifungal component. In the second step, the product of the first step is then mixed with a humic acid additive along with an oxygen-based component and a lactobacillus/aloe component to achieve the final product. This final product is then spread over the surface of the wastewater in sufficient quantities to see a reduction in the BOD, TSS, ammonia, and phosphorus, while at the time minimizing the amount of sludge removal.Type: GrantFiled: July 31, 2003Date of Patent: August 2, 2005Inventor: William E. Patent number: 5873328Abstract: A leash assembly for training dogs includes a handle and an elongate strap connected at one end to the handle, the other end being adapted to be connected to a collar worn by the dog. An elastic element has a first length when in a relaxed state and is extensible four inches to a second length when fully extended. The elastic element is attached to the strap with the length of strap between attached ends of the elastic element being substantially equal to the second length. The force required to reach the fully extended state is about 5 pounds or 2.3 kilograms. The elastic element significantly limits the impact of strong, short correctional tugs or jerks on the leash by the trainer.Type: GrantFiled: January 21, 1998Date of Patent: February 23, 1999Inventor: William E. Campbell
