  • Patent number: 9757959
Abstract: System and methods are disclosed for determining the print path of a printer to facilitate manual duplexing. The method includes instructing a printing device to print a first object on a first side of a test sheet and then instructing a user to reinsert the test sheet in the printing device. The printing device is then instructed to print a second object on the test sheet. The user can further provide information indicating a location of the second object with respect to the first object. Based on the information, the printing path of the printer is determined.

  • Patent number: 9092167
Abstract: One example discloses a network system for managing a print job. The network system can comprise a printing system. The printing system can comprise a memory for storing computer executable instructions and a processing unit for accessing the memory and executing the computer executable instructions. The computer executable instructions can comprise a printer server to generate a print job for a printer based on a received print email message. The print job can be generated based on an email decoration in the print email message. The email decoration can include a request specifying printing parameters for the print job.

  • Patent number: 8970877
Abstract: An electronic message is received from a sender having a destination address indicative of a request to print data included in the message. A printer is determined to fulfill the request based at least in part on the sender address and a printer characteristic. The data to be printed is sent to the printer for fulfillment of the request.

  • Publication number: 20130286050
Abstract: In at least some examples, a method includes receiving, by a computing device, initial content to be rendered. The initial content includes a plurality of sections in a predetermined order. The method also includes applying auto-fit rules to the initial content, by the computing device, wherein the auto-fit rules include a prioritization for the plurality of sections and a layout space. If the initial content does not fit within the layout space, the method also includes updating content to be rendered, wherein the updated content omits at least one of the plurality of sections from the initial content based on the prioritization and maintains the predetermined order for non-omitted sections from the initial content.

  • Patent number: 7028310
Abstract: In order to assure that services in an network and applications or users in the network are able to communicate and interact with one another a framework is provided that registers the service. The service provides the necessary information, in particular configuration files that are processed by the framework. The framework directly interfaces to a user by way of application or applications used by the users. An interface is established between the application and the framework allowing the user to indirectly communicate to the service by way of the framework. This allows the interface to the service and to the application to be handled by the framework.
