  • Patent number: 6817473
Abstract: The present invention is a generally parallelepiped shaped container including generally parallel opposite lateral side panels, generally parallel opposite longitudinal side panels and a generally flat bottom panel. A first generally flat top panel is provided near the first lateral side panel and a second generally flat top panel is provided near the second lateral side panel, the first and second top panels being interconnected to form a generally continuous top portion of the container. A dispensing neck extends upwardly from the first top panel and a cover member is removably positioned over the open end of the dispensing neck. The shape of the container and the cover member are such that the height of the cover member, when on the dispensing neck is less than the height of the second top panel so that the containers may be stacked one above the other without applying pressure to either the cover member or the dispensing neck.

  • Patent number: 6168039
Abstract: A container for dispensing a product is provided. The container is a generally parallelepiped container including two lateral, opposite side panels and two longitudinal, opposite side panels. Each side panel is interconnected with adjacent side panels, and each side panel has a lower and an upper edge. The container further includes a bottom panel extending from and interconnects the lower edges of each of the lateral and longitudinal side panels. A top panel extends from and interconnects the upper edges of each of the lateral and longitudinal side panels. A dispensing neck extends generally upwardly from the top panel proximate to a corner formed by an intersection of the top panel with two adjacent side panels. A cover member is removably disposed over an open end of the dispensing neck. The bottom panel has a recessed area which is generally aligned with the dispensing neck.

  • Patent number: 4817801
Abstract: A two-piece package for paper baking cups of conventional manufacture includes a plastic container having a base provided by a planar annular section with outer circumference and a recessed, circular inner portion and a shaped sidewall extending generally axially from the base outer circumference. The planar annular section which is at least 1/8 and preferably about 1/4 inch in radial width strengthens the base. The sidewall includes a first frustoconical portion having a height 80% or less and preferably 2/3 or less than the nominal height of paper baking cups received in the container. The sidewall further includes a circumferential lip at the mouth. A cover is provided with a plurality of regularly spaced indentations which are sharply radiused to mechanically engage with the lip of the container. Both the container and cover are provided with denesting structures for automated handling.
