  • Publication number: 20150105193
Abstract: A molded aerodynamically crosswind resistant fletching includes pairs of spaced apart fletchings having distal edges bowed inwardly towards each other thus to deflect crosswinds over the tops of the fletchings.
    Type: Application
    Filed: October 11, 2013
    Publication date: April 16, 2015
    Inventor: William Edward Pedersen
  • Patent number: 8986141
Abstract: Designs for expandable broadhead arrowheads with chisel tips for attachment to arrow shafts are provided. The chisel tips, when inserted into the ferrules of the expandable broadheads, provide greater durability, improved flight characteristics for the projectile to which the broadheads are attached, and more effective deployment of the cutting blades of the expandable broadheads.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: March 11, 2013
Date of Patent: March 24, 2015
    Assignee: Out RAGE, LLC
    Inventor: William Edward Pedersen
  • Patent number: 8944944
Abstract: The crossbow bolt or arrow nock in certain embodiments of the current invention includes a structural support piece that substantially surrounds and structurally supports the distal end of the nock, which may be made of a clear polymeric material to allow the transmission of light.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: March 14, 2013
Date of Patent: February 3, 2015
    Assignee: Out RAGE, LLC
Inventors: William Edward Pedersen, Richard Scott Krause, Jon Arthur Syverson
  • Publication number: 20150024880
Abstract: A mating arrow mounted slide and arrow rest cradle assembly for bowfishing and bowhunting utilizes an arrow shaft mounted slide that is releasably snapped into a cradle carried by the riser of a bow, in which the slide cradle combination provides a tight arrow rest as well as an anchoring mechanism for one end of a line when used for bowfishing. When the arrow is released the slide unsnaps from the cradle and moves in unison with the arrow as the arrow moves out of the bow.

  • Publication number: 20140194235
Abstract: One embodiment of the present invention is directed to a broadhead assembly that includes a ferrule having a shaft engaging end, an opposed tip end, and an axially extending elongate body. The tip end is formed as an integral part of the ferrule and includes a plurality of facets circumferentially arranged about the axially extending elongate body. The facets are tapered rearwardly and outwardly relative to the tip end and form a tip base that is positioned at a forward portion of the elongate body.

  • Publication number: 20130267359
Abstract: A self-centering nock is provided for use in a well-balanced nock-arrow or nock-bolt assembly. The self-centering nock includes compliant projecting protrusions or compliant arms that are substantially rotationally symmetric about a cross section normal to a main axis of the self-centering nock. The compliant projecting protrusions or compliant arms may be received in bolts that have bores of differing internal dimensions.

  • Patent number: 8512179
Abstract: An improved expandable broadhead with rear deploying blades. The rear deploying blades deploy reliably upon impact of the blades with a target. The expandable broadhead resists deflection by the target regardless of the angle of entry. Consequently, the present expandable broadhead maximizes kinetic energy on impact and increases the probability of substantial penetration into the target.
    Type: Grant
