  • Publication number: 20020115664
Abstract: The instant invention describes a method for crystallizing (−)-6-chloro-4-cyclopropylethynyl-4-trifluoromethyl-1,4-dihydro-2H-3,1-benzoxazin-2-one from a solvent and anti-solvent solvent system and producing the crystalline product. The desired final crystal form, Form I, can be produced when using methanol or ethanol. Form II is isolated from 2-propanol and can be converted to the desired crystal form at low drying temperatures, such as between about a temperature of 40° C. and 50° C.

  • Patent number: 5418364
Abstract: A dual line of sight forward looking infrared (FLIR) navigation and targeting system including two separate infrared turrets housing respective optical gimbal assemblies which simultaneously provide two independently controlled lines of sight, one of which has wide field(s) of view for implementing a pilotage function and the other has narrow magnified field(s) of view for implementing a targeting function. Both lines of sight are merged following individual temperature compensating image gain and level adjusting operations in an optical multiplexer assembly, the output of which is coupled to a single IR detector in the form of a focal plane array having time delay integration. Two separate FLIR video image signals are generated in a single common processor, one for pilotage and one for targeting which can be viewed simultaneously and independently. The processor is also utilized and integrated with a radar system.

  • Patent number: 4657470
Abstract: The invention comprises an improved end effector for a robot which is particularly advantageous in applications such as placing flat pack integrated circuits on circuit boards. The end effector includes a vacuum-operated quill for picking up the integrated circuit from a predetermined location. A pressure spring mechanism is included in the end effector permits the flat pack to be held in the desired position with a predetermined force by utilizing the robot arm to compress the pressure spring a predetermined amount. Once the integrated circuit is positioned on the circuit board, the circuit is released and the quill moved away from the board a predetermined distance by a linear actuator included in the end effector without any motion of the robotic arm.
