  • Patent number: 11987325
Abstract: Flow modifiers are positioned at one or more discrete points along the underside of a boat hull to generate secondary wakes that interfere with the primary wake generated by the boat hull and result in a desired modified wake useful for various watersports. The flow modifiers are formed integrally with the boat hull or affixed thereto, and can be selectively extendable and retractable relative thereto.

  • Patent number: 10550772
Abstract: A camshaft assembly for an internal combustion engine of a vehicle and method of operating the camshaft assembly to enhance engine braking performance through selective activation of a cam lobe having a brake gas recirculation contour. The camshaft assembly comprises an exhaust camshaft and a lobe pack on the exhaust camshaft, with the lobe pack including a plurality of cam lobes. At least one cam lobe of the plurality of cam lobes includes a brake gas recirculation cam contour having an exhaust stroke projection and a combustion stroke projection. The method switches to the cam lobe including the brake gas recirculation profile when certain criteria indicate that an engine braking mode is to be activated.

  • Patent number: 10171014
Abstract: An electric machine assembly includes a rotor assembly that includes a plurality of rotor parts including a reference rotor part and a first control rotor part. Each rotor part is rotatable about a longitudinal axis and mechanically separated from another rotor part along the longitudinal axis. The first control rotor part is controllable to rotate while aligned with the reference rotor part with a zero or near zero skew angle relative to the reference rotor part. The first control rotor part is also controllable to rotate while unaligned with the reference rotor part with a non-zero skew angle relative to the reference rotor part. The electric machine assembly further includes a rotor controller that is configured to control the degree of skew angle between the control rotor part and the reference rotor part.

  • Patent number: 8820277
Abstract: A cylinder head assembly includes a first member coupled to an engine block and a second member coupled to the first member. The first member defines a first port in communication with a first cylinder and a second port in communication with a second cylinder. The second member defines a longitudinally extending portion located on a first lateral half of the first member. A first control passage and a second control passage are defined between the first member and the longitudinally extending portion of the second member. The second member defines a wall separating the first and second control passages from one another.
