Patent number: 7394655Abstract: Embodiments of this invention include active electrical components withing a housing that contains an absorptive cooler. The absorptive cooler is used to cool active electrical components, such as central processors or other heat-sensitive components. In some embodiments, heat produced by electronic components can be used to provide heat to the absorptive cooler. By using heat generated from within the housing of the electronic device or other heat-producing element to drive an absorptive cooler, temperatures within heat-sensitive elements, such as a central processing unit can be reduced with a minimum of energy loss, and thereby permitting faster processing speed and reduced power consumption.Type: GrantFiled: March 7, 2006Date of Patent: July 1, 2008Inventor: William F. O'Keeffe

Patent number: 5357720Abstract: A reglet and flashing assembly for preventing water from penetrating between a roofing membrane at its exposed edge and a skylight curb on which the membrane is provided. The assembly includes a reglet which is permanently anchored to or integrally formed as part of, the skylight sill. The reglet serves as an anchor for a flashing which has an upper edge removably attached to the reglet. The flashing overhangs the roofing membrane and a lower edge of the flashing is biased against the membrane to act as a protective shield to prevent water from entering between the roofing membrane and the skylight curb. The present invention further includes a flexible gasket fitting into the joint between the reglet and the flashing to secure the flashing in proper position. The gasket may be removed to thereby free the flashing.Type: GrantFiled: July 19, 1993Date of Patent: October 25, 1994Assignee: O'Keeffe's Inc.Inventors: William F. O'Keeffe, Sonny Q. Garcia

Patent number: 4761927Abstract: A panelized enclosure system 20 includes first and second panel structures 30,32 comprised of rafters 22,24 and panels 26, 28. The rafters 22,24 include exterior sides 34, 36 and interior sides 38, 40 joined together with peripheral sides 42, 44. The peripheral sides 42, 44 of two adjacent rafters 22, 24 define a reverse camber. The system 20 includes an interconnection 60 for interconnecting the panel structures 30, 32 and a seal 61 for sealing the panel structures 30, 32 together. The system 20 can be used to enclose an environment and isolate it from an ambient environment. The enclosed isolated environment can be at a pressure which is higher than that of the ambient environment. Accordingly, the panel structures 30, 32 are urged outwardly. As this occurs, the peripheral sides 42, 44 are pivotally urged together.Type: GrantFiled: April 30, 1987Date of Patent: August 9, 1988Assignee: O'Keeffe's, Inc.Inventors: William F.
