    Abstract: A composite valving rod is provided for use in a foam dispensing apparatus having a low friction material sleeve portion that is retained by scraping surfaces on opposing ends which both maintain the physical dimensions of the plastic sleeve and serve as scraper when drawn through the bore of the foam dispensing cartridge. The cartridge is non-resilient and has at least one elongated groove therein to receive the scraped residual foam.
