    Abstract: The ratio of stock removal to tool wear (G ratio) of an abrasive tool having a copper-tin bond alloy with diamond abrasive grit dispersed therein is more than doubled when honing cast iron by including titanium carbide particulate in the bond alloy in an amount of about 0.5 weight percent to less than 20 weight percent, preferably from about 1 to 5 weight percent, based on the total weight of copper and tin.
