  • Patent number: 4774736
Abstract: A tool kit has two parts which interfit together and are held together inside a generally flexible case, which is designed to be entrained on the belt of a skateboa9rder. One of the two parts defines three different-sized sockets for mounting and removing wheels and tightening the truck attachments to the main board, and the second part mounts an allen wrench and a pair of screwdriver heads, one being a Phillips and the other conventional. The screwdriver heads and allen wrench are used for tightening the rails and other miscellaneous fasteners that may occur on different types of skateboards.

  • Patent number: 4165713
Abstract: A retractable leash for dogs and like pets includes a housing having a generally cylindrical cavity in which a rotatable reel is mounted and spring biased in one direction with a flexible leash member wound on the reel and extending externally of the housing and connected to a handle. The handle is defined by a resilient loop which encircles and resiliently biases into engagement with the housing for providing a compact arrangement when the leash is not in use.

  • Patent number: 4109925
Abstract: A skateboard truck includes an axle assembly which is quickly detachable from the truck mounting pad by means of a tension bolt fitting within a slotted bracket in the mounting pad for quick detachment therefrom. The skateboard truck assembly is provided with tension screw assembly that is mounted at a less than 45.degree. angle with respect to the skateboard and includes adjusting means for adjusting the pivot axis of the assembly with respect to the skateboard, totally independent of the adjustment of the tension in the assembly. A safety bracket includes a base portion with an arm having a cylindrical bore for receiving the cylindrical outer end of the tension bolt for reducing the stress on the board or tension bolt during the steering of the skateboard.

  • Patent number: 3953994
Abstract: A tubular can body comprising a radially expanded central portion, a neck at each end of the central portion, and a radially extending flange adjacent each neck at the ends of the tubular member. A tubular, elastomeric member is positioned within a die-contained can body and is pressurized to mold the can body to the shape of the die. The operation forms a radially expanded can body, necks the can body adjacent the radially expanded portion, and flanges the ends of the body in a single operation. A tapered elastomeric mandrel may be utilized in place of the tubular mandrel, obviating the necessity of lubricating the mandrel and allowing the body to be axially extended so that the material from which the can is formed is altered in cross section both radially and axially. A structural groove, suitably positioned in the mandrel surface allows flanging to be effected at the upper end of the can body without damage to the mandrel.
