  • Patent number: 5749558
Abstract: A nail-on picture hanger supports a picture frame generally flush against a vertical supporting surface and in a level orientation. The preferred hanger comprises a T-shaped plate having a vertically oriented leg extending downwardly from a horizontal top portion that includes three nailing guides. A pair of cantilevered arms extending laterally outward from the plate are selectively settable so as to ensure a level horizontal orientation for the picture. The preferred hanger can be quickly and permanently mounted to a wall by using only a hammer and a three nails.

  • Patent number: 5551126
Abstract: An unobtrusive eyeglass hanger attached by a button to the front of a shirt or blouse comprises a thin sheet of flexible material with a specially shaped throughhole having a large temple-retaining portion near the lower end of the hanger and a smaller thread-retaining portion near the top. The hanger is donned by inserting a shirt button through the temple-retaining portion of the hole and forcing the threads holding the button to the shirt through a narrow locking slot between the temple-retaining and thread-retaining portions. One of the temples of a pair of spectacles that are not being worn is inserted through the temple-retaining portion. The hanger holds the eyeglasses in a way that permits the wearer to bend forward at the waist without fear of dropping them onto the ground. Various messages, logos and the like may be printed on a top portion of the hanger, and the hanger then distributed as an advertising specialty item.

  • Patent number: 5031285
Abstract: A controlling device for a four-in-hand tie having a vertical front panel of desired width and a vertical tail portion of substantially less width behind the front panel, comprises a self-sustaining elongated horizontal pin-on or clip-on device loop member for location behind the front panel and of a length about the same as the width of the tail portion and receptive of the tail portion therethrough. The loop member is anchored for retaining the tail portion and the front panel vertically aligned.

  • Patent number: 4830197
Abstract: A display stand for graphic materials display panels has a frame with a supporting structure for the panels. An upstanding handle on the frame is cooperatively related to the supporting structure. A slotted shell keeper device is guided by the upstanding handle for movement into and out of panel retaining position relative to the supporting structure.

  • Patent number: 4804161
Abstract: A hanging device and method for picture frames or like objects wherein the device comprises a pair of spaced horizontally positionable prongs which are adapted to be secured in accurate horizontal alignment on a vertical supporting surface such as a wall. The prongs extend upwardly and outwardly from the wall and have upwardly extending points and may have downwardly and rearwardly extending cam surfaces so that a variety of different types of frame top moldings or other hanging devices are adapted to be efficiently engaged for supporting the hanging objects in a stable, non-skewing hanging position. By having the tips of the prongs project upwardly above the structure such as a bar by which the prongs are mounted, the object as hung is adapted to be engaged flat against a wall surface. The device is especially well adapted for supporting extruded aluminum picture frames.

  • Patent number: 4572379
Abstract: A large capacity display stand for sleeves carrying graphic material, the stand being especially adapted to be constructed as a wire-form structure providing a frame having sleeve suspending arms with transition guides for manipulation of the sleeves into and out of generally upright viewing position on supporting bar fingers superposed in spaced relation to the arms, and the upright sleeves resting against a combination handle and sleeve rest.

  • Patent number: 4352630
Abstract: A hand fan assembly comprises a fan body having an elongate handle socket extending inwardly from one edge of the body, and an elongate handle having a hand-grip portion and an extension stem projecting from the grip portion and adapted to be retainingly received in the socket. Assembly may be effected by sliding the stem into the socket through an entrance having a threshold to facilitate locating the tip of the stem for insertion into the socket. The stem may be frictionally retained in the socket to maintain the handle in functional assembly with the fan body. The fan body is adapted to be formed by folding panels together along a score line which may have a cut-out to receive the handle stem into the socket. In a kit package the fan body and the handle are enclosed in an envelope with the handle extending across a major dimension of the body.

  • Patent number: 4072386
Abstract: Superior press-on retention, improved electrical contact and elimination of radio frequency leakage are attained in phonoconnectors by having the shell of the pin plug assembly as well as the shell of the receptacle solid. Internal clutch means in the form of an expansile spring ring carried by the phonoplug shell effectively grips and retains the phonoplug assembly in mechanically as well as electrically coupled engagement with a mating phonoreceptacle shell.
