  • Patent number: 11603300
Abstract: A machine for handling heavy components in a heavy equipment environment. In an example implementation, the machine includes a truck having at least two front wheels and at least one rear wheel. A outrigger portion extends forward from the truck. The front wheels are attached at a forward end of the outrigger portion. A mast extends vertically from a track extending forward from the truck on a base of the outrigger portion. The mast is movably extendable or retractable along the track. A carriage is mounted on the mast and configured to move vertically on the mast. A pair of forks are mounted on the carriage to move vertically when the carriage is controlled to move. A personnel platform is mounted on the carriage independent of the mounting of the forks on the carriage. A remote control panel is configured to override a cab control panel under operator control. • Patent number: 10137301
Abstract: A method for multi-carrier processing in an auditory prosthetic device comprises receiving an audio signal comprising multiple signals, each produced by an independent source, and identifying at least a first signal and a second signal in the received audio signal. The method also comprises adjusting an amplitude of a first carrier signal based on a first signal or a signal envelope associated with the first signal, and adjusting an amplitude of a second carrier signal based on a second signal or a signal envelope associated with the second signal. The amplitude-adjusted first and second signals are delivered to one or more stimulation devices associated with an auditory prosthetic.

  • Publication number: 20160045047
Abstract: A container with an insert for rapidly lowering the temperature of a heated liquid to an ideal range suitable for human contact and maintaining the liquid in the ideal range for an extended period of time includes an insulated container for holding heated liquid, a thermal regulating insert and means for attaching or stabilizing the insert to the container. The thermal regulating insert has an outer wall made of thermally conductive material and sufficient surface area to promote heat transfer that creates an enclosed chamber. The chamber contains a phase change material for absorbing heat from the heated liquid when the liquid's temperature is higher than the phase change materials melting point. The insert is removably retained in the fluid-reservoir in the container such that the insert is wholly or substantially spaced apart from the walls of the container and stabilized relative to the container.

  • Patent number: 7707280
Abstract: Methods and systems for identifying communication circuits are disclosed. In particular a communication circuit communicatively couples a first node to a second node. A virtual circuit identification is then obtained based on a first address associated with the first node and a second address associated with the second node. The communication circuit is then identified based on the virtual circuit identification.

  • Patent number: 7236120
Abstract: A non-destructive detection method and system enables detecting a moisture patch located inside a building wall or the like. A transmitter generates a series of ultra-wideband pulses while an ultra-wideband antenna unit, preferably in the form of an antenna array including a plurality of switchable antenna pairs, directs the pulses toward the building structure so that the pulses are reflected therefrom, and receives the reflected pulses. A receiver processes the reflected pulses received by the antenna unit and produces a corresponding output. A controller controls the operation of the transmitter, receiver and antenna unit, and analyzes the output of the receiver for the presence of moisture inside of the building wall.

  • Patent number: 4090849
Abstract: Clinically useful diagnostic devices are prepared from commercially available metal sheet stock by a sequence of steps. The metal is one of a type on the surface of which a tenacious oxide layer can be produced. Steps in the preparation include roughening surface area of the bulk metal with pits on a fine scale to render that surface area of the metal non-specularly reflecting, chemically etching the surface area to produce some first preselected measure of reflectivity, anodizing the surface area to produce a dull, non-specularly reflecting oxide surface having a second preselected degree of reflectivity and applying a layer of protein over this dull surface area. The preferred metal is titanium and the reflectivity of the modified surface area is selected dependent on the immunological reaction being detected.
