  • Publication number: 20210338707
Abstract: Low-viscosity, high concentration nucleic acid compositions that can be administered by multiple parenteral routes may allow for less frequent dosing than nucleic acid products currently on the market. In particular, low-viscosity defibrotide formulations for subcutaneous, intramuscular, and intraperitoneal administration are more convenient to the patient and/or are administered outside of the hospital setting. Formulations of the invention may be used for the treatment of numerous conditions including for example, treatment of peripheral arteriopathies, treatment of acute renal insufficiency, treatment of acute myocardial ischemia, and treatment and prevention of sinusoidal obstruction syndrome or VOD.

  • Patent number: 9586040
Abstract: A flexible device insertion tool including an elongated stiffener with one or more suction ports, and a vacuum connector for interfacing the stiffener to a vacuum source, for attaching the flexible device such as a flexible neural probe to the stiffener during insertion by a suction force exerted through the suction ports to, and to release the flexible device by removing the suction force.

  • Publication number: 20160254080
Abstract: A method of fabricating electrical feedthroughs coats of a plurality of electrically conductive wires with an electrically insulating material and bundles the coated wires together in a substantially parallel arrangement. The bundled coated wires are secured to each other by joining the electrically insulating material of adjacent wires together to form a monolithic block which is then cut transverse to the wires to produce a block section having opposing first and second sides with a plurality of electrically conductive feedthroughs extending between them.

  • Patent number: 9138571
Abstract: A high density percutaneous chronic connector, having first and second connector structures each having an array of magnets surrounding a mounting cavity. A first electrical feedthrough array is seated in the mounting cavity of the first connector structure and a second electrical feedthrough array is seated in the mounting cavity of the second connector structure, with a feedthrough interconnect matrix positioned between a top side of the first electrical feedthrough array and a bottom side of the second electrical feedthrough array to electrically connect the first electrical feedthrough array to the second electrical feedthrough array. The two arrays of magnets are arranged to attract in a first angular position which connects the first and second connector structures together and electrically connects the percutaneously connected device to the external electronics, and to repel in a second angular position to facilitate removal of the second connector structure from the first connector structure.

  • Patent number: 4056999
Abstract: A sequence of first, second and third overlay segments that are initially lightly adhered to the white keys of a replica of a piano keyboard defined on a backing strip. The first, second and third overlay segments are subsequently removed from the backing strip and adhered to the white keys of a piano keyboard. The first and second overlay segments when mounted on the white keys of a piano keyboard visually define a treble signature and a bass signature. Elongate tabs extend from the first and second overlay segments and visually indicate to a user the keys on the keyboard that correspond to notes on the lines of the upper and lower groups thereof on the music. The third overlay identifies the middle C key on the piano keyboard. Overlay segments in the form of sharps and flats are provided that are secured to appropriate white keys of the keyboard to visually indicate that they are to be sharped or flatted.
