  • Patent number: 6000168
Abstract: A multipurpose marine life container having a closed chamber defined by a pair of substantially identical clam shell-type housing halves opening toward each other and removably joined together along a parting line. An entrance opening is formed in each end wall of the container by a pair of half openings opening toward each other along the parting line. Each end wall supports a rotatable disk that includes three inwardly opening entry funnel areas as well as a closed area rotatable into and out of registry with the corresponding entrance opening. Hollow tubes with air tight closures are removably secured lengthwise through the container to provide buoyancy, weighting and reinforcement for the container. The opposite sides of the container include large openings which are selectively closed by cantilever supported doors swingable by gravity to the open positions and releasably latchable in the closed positions.

  • Patent number: 5464069
Abstract: A delta wing form body is provided having a central forward apex as well as rear opposite side apices. Each apex includes a vertical powered fan duct assembly extending therethrough and the rear of the wing form body includes forward thrust developing horizontal fan duct assemblies while the center of the body includes laterally and longitudinally shiftable weight structure for omnidirectional shifting of the center of gravity of the wing form body. The center and opposite side fan duct assemblies open downwardly into central and opposite side downwardly opening longitudinal tunnels, respectively, each including retractable and extendable front and rear flap assemblies. The wing form body also includes rear forward thrust developing propulsion fan duct assemblies and all of the fan duct assemblies are variably speed driven from a single power source.

  • Patent number: 5279509
Abstract: A surface drive is provided mounted from the stern of a hull for up and down swinging movement in the manner of an outdrive unit, but wherein the surface drive includes a forwardly and upwardly inclined propeller shaft with a forward extension thereof coupled, through the utilization of a universal joint, to the rear end of a power shaft journaled through and projecting rearwardly of the transom of the associated hull and with which the propeller is generally aligned, the surface drive being laterally stabilized and including an upstanding rudder oscillatably supported therefrom rearward of the surface drive propeller.

  • Patent number: 5232386
Abstract: A strut mounted, counter rotation marine propeller propulsion system of the single engine is provided including a depending propeller shaft strut from which aligned front and rear propeller shafts are supported including remote ends disposed exteriorly of the strut and having front and rear propellers, respectively, mounted thereon and adjacent ends drivingly interconnected through the utilization of bevel gearing within a journal hub carried by the lower end of the strut. The forward extremity of the front propeller shaft is removably coupled to the rear end of a rearwardly and downwardly inclined power shaft journaled through the bottom of the associated hull and the strut includes horizontally outwardly projecting and forwardly and upwardly inclined opposite side water deflector plates for smoothing out the water discharge, in conjunction with the strut itself, from the front propeller.

  • Patent number: 4924555
Abstract: A water cooled roller shucker having a pair or plurality of pairs of parallel rollers which rotate in opposite directions and are driven from one end thereof by any suitable power mechanism to drive the rollers at a desired adjustable speed with each roller including a spiral rib on the external surface thereof to maintain clams in an upright position as the oppositely turning rollers move them longitudinally in underlying relation to a longitudinally elongated burner positioned above the top edges of the upright clams thereby heating the clams and causing the abductor muscles to be released thereby enabling the clam shells to open. Each of the rollers is water cooled to prevent the rollers from warping thereby enabling direct impingement of flame from the burners on the upstanding clams to effectively open the clams without overheating the rollers and without "cooking" the "meat" of the clams.
