  • Patent number: 5073318
Abstract: A substrate is initially moulded from a cross-linked polymeric material reinforced with glass fibres, the substrate is subsequently placed in a die in which a facing layer is first moulded, and on that layer are injected the ingredients for a foam padding material which adhere the substrate to the facing layer. The facing layer is desirably polyurethane, although use can be made of flexible acrylic, polyvinylchloride, and some other polymeric materials.

  • Patent number: 5037591
Abstract: A vehicle inner panel with a padded fabric surface, and includes firstly moulding a substrate of polymeric material, suitably polyurethane, attaching the substrate to one die of a two part die set, stretching a fabric sheet on a stretch frame, interposing the stretched fabric sheet between the other die of the die set and the substrate, injecting foam forming polyurethane through the substrate and allowing it to foam while the dies are closed, opening the dies, removing the assembly, and trimming the fabric.

  • Patent number: 4367446
Abstract: The invention provides a mode coupler arrangement comprising a main waveguide coupled via arrays of slots to two sets of subsidiary waveguides over a common length. One set of subsidiary waveguides is such as to support one mode of propagation and the other set another mode of propagation. In a preferred embodiment the slots in one set of subsidiary guides are staggered by (1.lambda./4) relative to the slots in the other set of subsidiary guides and the guides of one set are longer than the guides of the other set.For TE11 communications mode signals, the two sets of subsidiary guides are of different frequency, with each subsidiary guide arranged such that its variation of wavelength with frequency coincides with that of the main waveguide only in the frequency band for which that subsidiary guide is provided.

  • Patent number: 3939225
Abstract: The present invention relates to lenses for exterior vehicle lamps wherein the lenses are molded from a high nitrile polymer comprising 55 to 85 percent by weight of a nitrile monomer unit and from 15 to 45 percent by weight of a monovinylidene aromatic monomer.
