  • Patent number: 7062308
Abstract: A system for monitoring physiological parameters within the stomachs of ruminant animals and including two primary interdependent components. Both components are linked by radio frequency communication and software designed specifically for this application. The first component is a sensing transceiver, battery power and electric components hereafter referred to as the device that is tethered by a cord to a weight in the form of a conventional cow magnet. The second component includes both stationary and portable readers/transmitters capable of initiating radio frequency communication with the device(s) for receiving data from them and sending data to them. Software residing in both components utilizes digitized data and operating commands for transmission between the components, for storing selected data and program commands and manipulating the data for viewing, hearing and related analysis.

  • Publication number: 20040024614
Abstract: A system and method are disclosed for managing prescription benefits. Case records containing information regarding patients and prescription coverage activities for the patients are stored in the system. Users are allowed access to the system via an appropriate electronic communication network. The user can subsequently perform various tasks in order to maintain and review coverage activities. The user can also enter additional prescription coverage activities into the case records, as well as verify that information entered into the case records has been updated.

  • Patent number: 5419057
Abstract: A template square (10) for marking a length of floor joist lumber to be cut into a floor joist board for mounting to a support beam in the center sill support framework of a building. The template plate (10) comprises notches (26,27), slots (31), flange pieces (14,15), and tension springs (16, 17). The flange pieces (14,15) mount within the slots (31) to form a flange along the upper portion of the template square (10) so that the template square can be aligned on the floor joist lumber with the flange abutting the top edge of the lumber. So arranged, a cut-line can be traced along a side edge (22,23) of the template square (10) with the notch (26,27) spaced a predetermined distance from the flange.

  • Patent number: 4313705
Abstract: A device for unloading particulate material from circular storage bins having central discharge sumps. The device includes two augers extending radially in diametric opposition from a vertical pivot axis adjacent the discharge sump. The augers are powered to pivot forwardly about the vertical axis and are also rotated about longitudinal auger axes to engage and move particulate material toward the vertical axis and into the central outlet sump. A central counter rotating auger drive means is powered to rotate the augers in opposite directions. The counter rotating drive means includes a single input drive shaft. The single input shaft rotates two worm gears of a transmission means. Two worm wheels, each attached to a respective auger, mesh with the worm gears. The worm gears and worm wheels function as gear reduction units to transmit rotation of the input shaft to opposite geared down directional rotation of the augers. The single input drive shaft is also operatively connected to a hydraulic motor.
