  • Patent number: 11922738
Abstract: Systems and methods to fuse aviation-related data systems for comprehensive aircraft system health monitoring are provided. One example method includes obtaining, by one or more computing devices, fault data indicative of a plurality of fault indications provided by a first plurality of components of an aircraft. The method includes obtaining, by the one or more computing devices, condition indicators describing the respective operational conditions of a second plurality of components of the aircraft. The method includes fusing, by the one or more computing devices, the fault data with the condition indicators to form a comprehensive data set. The method includes identifying, by the one or more computing devices, one or more causes of the plurality of fault conditions based at least in part on the comprehensive data set. One example system includes a data fuser, a cause identifier, and an alert generator.

  • Publication number: 20070296600
Abstract: An apparatus is provided for detecting the presence of an obstruction with respect to a height-adjustable bed. The apparatus includes sensors coupled to the bed. At least one of the sensors has an output signal which is variable in response to changes in a weight applied to the support surface. The apparatus also includes a controller having inputs configured to receive the output signals from the sensor or sensors. The controller is configured to monitor the output signals, and to provide an indication of the presence of an obstruction with respect to a change in position of the bed.

  • Patent number: 6370490
Abstract: In determining an intrinsic spectrum from a measured spectrum using the Maximum Entropy Algorithm, it is hardly or even not at all practical to determine the eigenvalues of an N×N matrix of large dimensions (N of the order of from 104 to 105). According to the invention such a large matrix is subdivided into a large number of much smaller partial matrices that are located on the diagonal or trace of the large matrix. The set of eigenvalues to be determined then consists of all eigenvalues of the partial matrices which can be determined much faster. Because of the Toeplitz-like character of the partial matrices, their eigenvalues can be determined very fast by Fourier transformation of a single row of such a matrix. Using the set of eigenvalues thus obtained, the intrinsic spectrum is determined by means of a minimizing algorithm.

  • Patent number: 5417499
Abstract: A fabric lined bushing is formed by placing a braided liner around a mandrel coating the liner with an adhesive and injection molding an elastomeric bushing material around the adhesive coated braided liner. The braided liner is formed from polyester fibers and polytetrafluoroethylene fibers. Molding the elastomeric material under pressure around the braided liner while positioned on a mandrel tends to stretch the braided liner binding it more tightly to the mandrel and preventing the elastomeric material from penetrating the liner. The interior surface of the bushing is primarily the braided liner material which reduces noise and decreases wear.
