  • Publication number: 20210264139
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to creating videos. A mobile device creates a graphic user interface to capture by the camera of the device multiple photographic facial images of a user for respective multiple facial expressions of a character in the video. Using the multiple photographic facial images, the device modifies stored character images by matching facial features of the character to facial features of the user for the multiple facial expressions of the character in the video and creates the video based on the modified character images. The facial expression of the user is used to influence the facial expression of the character. This method enables replacement of certain visual style elements with a given user's own style elements.

Inventors: Michael David Prange, William John Bailey
  • Patent number: 8527203
Abstract: A method of determining a selection of well measurements and/or their respective control parameters is described based on a global target having predetermined sensitivities to a multitude of uncertainties associated with input variables to a model including the step of ranking measurements and control parameters in accordance with their capability to reduce the uncertainties of input variables identified as most sensitive input variables through simulations using the model or a reduced variant of the model.
    Type: Grant

  • Patent number: 7908230
Abstract: A method for optimizing fracture treatments includes interpreting a nominal pump schedule corresponding to a nominal value for each fracture control parameter. The method further includes interpreting environmental variables, and interpreting probability distributions for each of the environmental variables that is uncertain. The method further includes defining an objective function such as a net present value of each fracture treatment over a 365 day period following the fracture treatment. The method includes determining an optimal value for each fracture control parameter according to the objective function by determining the fracture control parameter values that yield the best mean net present value given the variability in the environmental variables as described by their probability distributions.

  • Publication number: 20090249753
Abstract: The invention provides a method of sealing a bag (8) comprising (a) gripping the neck (10) of the bag (8) (b) passing the gripped portion of the bag neck (10) around a rod (6) approximately a complete revolution (c) continuing to revolve the gripped portion of the bag and moving the gripped portion axially away from the distal end of the rod (6) until generally a further 2-300 degree revolution has been completed so that the neck (10) of the bag (8) is wrapped around the rod (6) (d) opening a recess (14) in the rod and placing the free end of the neck (10) into the recess, and (e) holding the free end in the recess (14) whilst withdrawing the rod (6) through the wrapped portion of the neck. The invention also provides apparatus for carrying out the method.
