Abstract: An injection molding apparatus 80 has a cavity 64 and core 65 co-operatively defining a void of inverted J-shape transverse cross-section for molding a garment hanger 10. A first leg 115, 127 of the J-shape cross-section forms a front of the garment hanger, a base 111 of the J-shape cross-section forms a transversely arcuate upper face of the garment hanger for receiving shoulders of a garment to be suspended from the garment hanger and a second leg 116, 126, opposed to the first leg, and substantially shorter than the first leg, forms a return rear portion of the garment hanger. A garment hanger molded in the injection molding apparatus is also disclosed.

Abstract: A garment hanger has a body 1 with a longitudinal axis. A movable first arm 2 is slidably mounted on the body for free movement with respect to the body substantially along the longitudinal axis. A constant or decreasing force spring 4 applies a resilient force to the first arm to urge the first arm outwards of the body so that the first arm is able to move between a retracted position and an extended position relative to the body. The resilient force exerted by the garment hanger remains substantially constant or increases between a fully retracted position and a fully extended position.

Abstract: A garment hanger in which a median portion of the hanger includes a window through which a rotatable disc may be viewed on which are printed size markings such that the disc can be rotated selectively to display any one of the markings through the window.

Abstract: There is disclosed a clip for a garment hanger on which clothes are hung directly, and which has front and rear gripping plates which are movable one relative to the other. A locking mechanism, preferably in the form of an arm in a fixed one of the two plates interlocks the movable plates for gripping a garment within the clip. A movable pressure device preferably mounted on the movable one of the plates is used to effect release of the locking means and immediately the locking means is released, the pressure device acts directly on the movable plate to force it away from the other plate to thereby quickly and easily release a garment previously held within the clip. In an alternative, a flange extends from the movable plate and has locking tooth thereon engageable with teeth on the release arm. The flange extends across the teeth in use to prevent delicate garments becoming entangled in the locking mechanism between the movable plates.

Abstract: A chopper unit for food material, having a shaft adapted to receive a drive at one end and cutter blades at the other end thereof. A tubular member journals the shaft and is arranged for non-rotatable connection with a motor drive unit. A ring having a sharpened edge surrounds the cutter blades, with apertures for chopped food provided between the ring and the tubular member. A two-speed motor unit may also be provided.
