  • Publication number: 20240037560
Abstract: In one embodiment, a method includes receiving, from a receiver processor, a transaction authorization request to authorize a transaction associated with a transfer of resources to a receiving entity from a user, the request including publicly routable account credentials of a virtual bank account (VBAN) generated by the receiver processor, the VBAN being associated with the receiving entity, the user, and a stored value balance of an external resource account generated by a receiver financial entity associated with the user, retrieving, from a VBAN database, a transaction resource configuration of the VBAN decoupled from the external resource account, determining whether parameters of the transaction resource configuration are satisfied based on metadata associated with the request, and transmitting, to the external server, a transaction authorization response indicating whether the transaction is authorized to cause the stored value balance to be reduced based on the transfer of resources.

  • Publication number: 20240013168
Abstract: In one embodiment, a method includes storing a set of first transaction entries comprising real-time transaction data, identifying identical pairs of a first transaction entry and a second transaction entry from the set of first transaction entries and a set of second transaction entries derived from the historical transaction data, wherein the first and second transaction entries are excluded from the remaining sets of first and second transaction entries for each identical pair, identifying matching pairs of a first and a second transaction entries for each matching cycle from the remaining sets of first and second transaction entries, and wherein the first and second transaction entries are excluded from the remaining sets of first and second transaction entries for each matching pair, and analyzing the remaining sets of first and second transaction entries to identify incongruous transaction entries and determine remediations for some of the incongruous transaction entries.

  • Publication number: 20230356364
Abstract: This clamping tool uses optical distance verification with a laser. Clamping tools, like all tools, are known to be operated improperly. Many tools verify process completion by monitoring the pressure within the pneumatic tool. Previous qualifiers use pressure to determine many things. However, it often misses if a small object impedes a full stroke. With the addition of an optical laser sensor, we are able to determine if a clamping tool reaches full stroke.

  • Patent number: 9924438
Abstract: Devices, systems and methods are disclosed for allowing a mobile device to roam from a first frequency band to a second frequency band for a dual band access point when a signal strength associated with the first frequency band improves. For example, the mobile device may store a first signal strength associated with the first frequency band when the mobile device first connects to the first frequency band and may monitor subsequent signal strengths to determine if they exceed the first signal strength. When a subsequent signal strength exceeds the first signal strength, the mobile device may use this as an indication that the mobile device is closer to the access point and within range of the second frequency band. The mobile device may then detect and connect to the second frequency band.

  • Patent number: 9865920
Abstract: An apparatus includes a first reactive component coupled between a first antenna and a second antenna in a multi-band antenna system. The apparatus further includes a first operation circuit coupled to the first reactive component. The first reactive component and the first operation circuit together form a signal path to enable signal flow between the first and the second antennas when the first and the second antennas are operating at a first frequency. The first operation circuit disables signal flow along the signal path when the first and the second antennas are operating at a second frequency.

  • Patent number: 9497680
Abstract: Devices, systems and methods are disclosed for allowing a mobile device to connect to a network based on data rates. For example, the mobile device may select from available networks based on data rates associated with the available networks. In addition, the mobile device may determine to roam from a current network based on data rates. For example, the mobile device may roam when an expected throughput exceeds an actual throughput or when an anticipated throughput requirement exceeds the actual throughput.

  • Patent number: 9407003
Abstract: Antenna structures and methods of operating the same of an electronic device are described. One apparatus includes a radio frequency (RF) including a surface-current dispersing circuit and an antenna structure coupled to the RF feed at a feeding point and coupled to a ground plane at a grounding point. The antenna structure comprises an even multiple of quarter-wavelength elements with a first element coupled to the feeding point and a second element coupled to the grounding point and the grounding point is located at a specified distance from the feeding point. Surface currents, generated as a result of the RF signals being applied to the RF feed at the feeding point, create a first hot spot of an even multiple of hot spots of magnetic field at the feeding point. The surface-current dispersing circuit and the ground point disperse a portion of the surface currents at the feeding point towards the grounding point to create other hot spots of the even multiple of hot spots.

  • Patent number: 5819225
Abstract: A visual feedback aid, for a computer system performing speech recognition functions, provides indications on a display monitor of the system representing the current state of operation of a system microphone, the current mode of operation of the system in respect to speech, and a string of text representing the system's recognition (correct or incorrect) of commands instantly spoken into the microphone. The indications preferably are located in a reserved area of a display window associated with a currently active application involving speech recognition. The reserved area preferably would be a prominent one, such as the application title bar.

  • Patent number: 4440430
Abstract: This bag opener has a ring-shaped portion dimensioned to fit inside the top of a bag. A plurality of substantially straight leg portions extend substantially normal to a plane defined by the ring-shaped portion. The leg portions are dimensioned to extend inside the bag when the ring-shaped portion is in place inside the top of the bag. The bag opener is especially adapted for use in yard work for filling the bag while it lies along the ground. The bag opener is readily removed from the bag without disturbing its contents when the bag is full of leaves, grass or other materials.
