    Abstract: A tree stand support platform assembly including a flexible strap or band for embracing a supporting upright and front and rear band supporting legs at opposite sides of the platform movable from and to a collapsed transport position to a raised operating position. The legs are each pivotally attached to the platform and pivotally joined to one another at their respective free inner ends. There is further provided improved means for detachably retaining slidable end portions of the flexible bands at the intermediate pivot connection of the front and rear legs with the use of an axially movable knob stem threadingly engageable with a slidable slotted retainer, and inside bracket on the platform for slidably retaining one of said legs relative to the platform.

    Abstract: A knife assembly for use in a chopping apparatus of the type having a rotatable disc and an opening therethrough to permit passage of the chopped material through and away from the disc. The assembly comprises a pair of knife holding means for engaging a reversible knife with two cutting edges. One of the knife holding means has a flat knife engaging surface for cooperatively engaging a complementary flat surface of the knife, and the other knife holding means has an arcuate protrusion for cooperatively engaging an arcuate groove in the knife. An improved elongated and reversible knife having opposed bevel surfaces that define the reversible cutting edges, and the knife also having opposite flat surfaces, one of which has an arcuate recess formed in and along that surface for the reception of a complementary shaped portion of a knife holding means.
