  • Patent number: 6747234
Abstract: A circuit interrupter including a housing having an internal cavity. The internal cavity includes a space at a first end thereof, and includes an internal wall extending from the space to a second end of the housing. A vacuum interrupter is disposed in the space. The vacuum interrupter has at least one movable contact for contacting at least one stationary contact. An operating rod extends through the cavity, and is operable to move the moveable contact. At least one baffle is fixed to the operating rod, and disposed in the cavity. In a preferred embodiment, at least one step is formed in the wall. The step separates a first internal wall section from a second internal wall section, and the first internal wall section is closer to the space than the second internal wall section.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: July 23, 2002
Date of Patent: June 8, 2004
    Assignee: Maysteel LLC
Inventors: Robert A. Traska, William M. Hurst

  • Patent number: 6529013
Abstract: Active crosstalk cancellation in a multi-phase system is achieved using a capacitive voltage divider for each phase in the multi-phase system. A voltage measurement is obtained for the desired phase and each additional phase of the multi-phase system. A product is generated for each additional phase by multiplying each additional phase voltage measurement by a corresponding predetermined constant. The product for each additional phase is subtracted from the voltage measurement of the desired phase.

  • Patent number: 4744000
Abstract: An electrical capacitor (10) having an improved dielectric system. The capacitor includes layers of metal foil (15,16) and dielectric sheet material (17) which is impregnated with a liquid dielectric composed of a mixture of phenyl xylyl ethane and phenyl tolyl methanes.

  • Patent number: 4058063
Abstract: A warhead containing an hourglass-shaped explosive charge. At either or b ends of the charge an expandable rod structure or rod fragments are placed and arranged at any desired angle to the longitudinal axis of the charge. The charge is initiated at the center of its length and because of its shape creates a concentrated pancake configured shock wave and gas cloud expanding radially outward from the center of the missile. Because of the large amount of explosive between the initiation point and the rod structure the rods are imparted with a higher velocity than in conventional rod warheads of comparable mass.
