  • Publication number: 20130045299
Abstract: Disclosed herein are compositions containing natural acids and natural buffering agents useful for inhibiting mold growth and/or prolonging the shelf life of baked products, which do not require propionic acid, and may be in either a liquid or a dry form. Also disclosed are methods of using the disclosed compositions.

  • Publication number: 20070228210
Abstract: A weight-on-gear sensor for use on an aircraft with landing skids having a bracket and a displacement sensor attached to the bracket is disclosed. The bracket has a center member connecting a first end member to a second end member. The center member has a centerline and the end members extend from the centerline of the center member. Mounting members extend along the centerline of the center member to facilitate attachment of the bracket to a cross tube. The displacement sensor connects the first end member to the second end member. The displacement sensor is parallel to, and offset from, the centerline of the center member so that when a bending moment is applied to the center member the first displacement sensor is either elongated or shortened.

  • Publication number: 20050151672
Abstract: A method and apparatus for tactile cueing of aircraft controls (21) is disclosed. The apparatus of the present invention warns pilots of approaching limits on certain aircraft performance parameters. The most common warnings are for rotor speed exceeding a moving limit. The present invention uses tactile cueing through the collective stick (21). Tactile cueing means that the pilot does not need to scan the intruments to ascertain proximity to the aforementioned limits. Instead, the pilot can operate the aircraft within proper limits by touch, while maintaining situational awareness outside of the cockpit (20). The method and apparatus of the present invention provides customary friction resistance up to a limit position that is continuously updated. According to the present invention, continued motion of the collective (21) in a direction beyond that limit position results in a breakout force and an increasing resistive force.

  • Patent number: 6287199
Abstract: An interactive, predictive game control system for use in conjunction with a live TV broadcast received by one or more remote players. The system comprises a central controller for generating game playing data for transmission with a TV broadcast to the remote player(s) and for receiving information from the remote player(s). An input device is connected to the central controller. A database is connected to the central controller for storing data relating to the content of the live broadcast and known in advance of the live broadcast. The central controller is responsive to signals from the input device: a) prior to the live broadcast, to select data from the database for transmission to the remote user(s) in advance of and/or during the live broadcast, and b) during or after the live broadcast, to record the time of occurrence of one or more events relating to the live broadcast which are to be predicted by the remote player(s), as indicated by an operator to the central controller via the input device.

  • Patent number: 5923644
Abstract: A method of operating an input-queued multicast switch includes the step of loading input cells into a set of input queues. Each of the input cells specifies one or more output cells. Selected output cells are accepted from head-of-line input cells of the set of input queues in a manner to concentrate unaccepted output cell residue among a subset of the set of input queues. This concentration operation can be performed in a number of ways. One technique is to assign weights to the head-of-line cells on the basis of cell age and cell fanout. Another technique to achieve concentration is to iteratively match unaccepted output cell residue to an input queue with the most output cells in common with the unaccepted output cell residue.
