  • Publication number: 20080307729
Abstract: A panel is disclosed, which comprises a core and first and second plates disposed on opposing sides of the core. The core may comprise pluralities of first and second rib structures, a foamed polymer structure, or a honeycomb structure. The panel may be used as a building or construction structure or in a concrete pouring application.

  • Patent number: 6132075
Abstract: A multichannel wave screw with a slush channel barrier section adapted to provide a consistent mixture of 50% solids and 50% melt to both channels of the double wave metering section. The screw includes a barrier flight having a relatively large initial clearance which allows solids to enter the newly formed slush channel. The barrier flight gradually decreases in clearance to a final barrier flight clearance which allows some dispersed solids to enter the slush channel. At the terminal end of the barrier section, the barrier flight abruptly increases its pitch, thereby abruptly narrowing the solids channel and therefore forcing solid material over the barrier flight and into the slush channel. In this manner, a uniform mixture of solid and melt is provided to the multi-channel wave metering section.

  • Patent number: 5397526
Abstract: Apparatus for reconfiguring at least three finishing rolls in a plastic sheet fabricating sheetline includes a base, a pair of spaced upright support structures, and pairs of first and second spaced support assemblies. The upright support structures are mounted on the base and support a center one of the rolls in a stationary position therebetween and for rotation about a first axis. The first support assemblies support a first outer one of the rolls therebetween for rotation about a second axis and are mounted to the support structures for permitting angularly adjustable movement of the first outer roll relative to the center roll about the first axis to reconfigure the angular position of the first outer roll relative to the center roll.

  • Patent number: 5375992
Abstract: A plasticating apparatus having a barrel and a screw rotatably disposed therein. The screw has a mixing section including a helical conveying flight to form a helical passage for transporting resinous material along the screw. The mixing section further includes two helical divider flights, each spaced from the conveying flight to divide the helical passage into three channels of varying cyclic depth in the helical direction of the channels. The portions of minimum depth of the channels define wave crests which are helically displaced from each other.
