  • Publication number: 20240160023
Abstract: A display element of an optical stack assembly in an augmented reality (AR) near-eye display device may be protected against ultraviolet (UV) and/or infrared (IR) exposure through one or more protective coatings on various surfaces of the elements of the optical stack assembly. A photochromic coating on one of the surfaces of the elements of the optical stack assembly may also be used instead of or in addition to the protective coatings.

  • Publication number: 20240142244
Abstract: Apparatuses and methods for determining a route are provided. In some examples, the method comprises: receiving measurements of one or more motion sensors of a mobile device disposed in a vehicle; selecting, based on a start time and an end time of a first route, a subset of the measurements; determining, based on the subset of the measurements, turns or stops made by the vehicle as part of the first route and their directions; determining, based on the subset of the measurements, distances of path segments traveled by the vehicle between the turns or stops; constructing an estimated route including a sequence of the turns or stops and path segments; selecting, based on comparing the estimated route and a plurality of candidates routes from a map, the first route; and displaying the map including the first route.

  • Patent number: 11911195
Abstract: Embodiments can provide a visual indicator system, attachable to a medical imaging patient bed. The visual indicator system comprising: one or more light strips, each light strip comprising a plurality of lights; a distance meter, attachable to one end of the medical imaging patient bed; a storage device, configured to store one or more preconfigured finger gestures; and a microcontroller. The one or more light strips are attachable to the medical imaging patient bed; wherein the microcontroller is configured to illuminate the one or more light strips after the one or more preconfigured finger gestures are made with respect to the one or more light strips. A position of the illumination of the light strip corresponds to a position of performing the one or more preconfigured finger gestures and one or more distance measurements received from the distance meter.

  • Publication number: 20060161733
Abstract: The preferred embodiment of present invention is directed to an improved method and system for buffering incoming/unsolicited data received by a host computer that is connected to a network such as a storage area network. Specifically, in a host computer system in which the main memory of the host server maintains a I/O control block command ring, and which a connective port (e.g., a host bus adaptor) is operatively coupled to the main memory for handling I/O commands received by and transmitted from the host server, a host buffer queue (HBQ) is maintained for storing a series of buffer descriptors retrievable by the port for writing incoming/unsolicited data to specific address locations within the main memory.
