    Abstract: A safety edge assembly is provided for an electronic sensor system in an elevator doorway. A narrow elongated transmitter frame mounts appropriate electronic transmitting components of the system thereon and is fastened vertically on one side of the doorway. A narrow elongated receiver frame mounts appropriate electronic receiver components of the system thereon and is fastened vertically on the opposite side of the doorway. A power supply frame mounts appropriate electronic power components of the system thereon and is fastened in a piggyback fashion on the transmitter frame. Electrical cables are coupled between the electronic components on opposite sides of the doorway, the cables extending across the top of the doorway.

The main incubating chamber is provided with a support plate and diffuser plate for directing a controlled flow of heated air to the biological test specimen. A transverse blower is provided to assist in providing uniform air flow within the main incubating chamber.

    Abstract: Disclosed is a device for determining the activated clotting time of a blood sample, the device being a hand held unit for holding a glass tube containing the blood sample to be tested. The unit includes an electric heater for maintaining the blood sampe at 37.degree. C and an electronic timer. A digital display on the unit can be selectively programmed to display either a temperature or a time function. Upon obtaining the desired temperature, the electronic timer is started and the blood sample is virtually observed in order to determine the elapsed time before the blood sample begins to clot.
