  • Patent number: 11933708
Abstract: A measurement system includes an atomizer, an impactor, a particle counter, and a discharge reservoir. The atomizer has a liquid intake port and a gas intake port configured to aerosolize a liquid received at the liquid intake port. The impactor has an inlet coupled to the atomizer and has a first output port and a second output port. The impactor is configured to separate droplets wherein those droplets smaller than a selected cut point are directed to the first output port and those droplets larger than the selected cut point are directed to the second output port. The particle counter is coupled to the first output port and is configured to count particles larger than at least one particle size cut point. The discharge reservoir is coupled to the second output port.

  • Patent number: 5038523
Abstract: This invention pertains to a rotary disk tool which utilizes pressurized water as the working fluid. When an operator engages a trigger on a novel control handle and valve assembly, pressurized seawater enters the rotary disk tool through the control handle and valve assembly into a seawater powered vane motor. The shaft of the seawater powered vane motor, is coupled to a drive gear. The drive gear, in turn, is in operative engagement with a driven pinion coupled to an output shaft which drives an abrasive disk. Seawater exhausted from the motor into a gear and pinion housing provides lubrication for the drive gear, driven pinion, and the bearings used with the gear and pinion. The seawater is then exhausted from the housing as a fan spray directed onto the back of the abrasive disk so as to reduce drag of the disk in water and to flush away loose material from the work surface.

  • Patent number: 4898051
Abstract: A connector mate/demate tool provides remote coupling and decoupling of connector sections with a rotating locking ring on one section of the connector and where the other section is rigidly attached to some fixture. The tool mates the connector sections by first searching for a key-slot engagement of parts while exerting a small longitudinal force and then rotating the locking ring until the two sections are secured. Demating is accomplished by rotating the locking ring in the reverse direction and pulling the two connector sections apart.
