  • Patent number: 9200707
Abstract: A method for controlling a transmission includes using actuation of a button of a shift module to produce a signal representing a desired gear, using the signal and a second signal commanding a park range to determining a priority range, using a shift mechanism to attempt engagement of the transmission in the priority range, and if the priority range is park and park is not engaged, engaging a park brake.

  • Patent number: 9004048
Abstract: A gas sensor assembly for sensing a pressure of a gas including a housing, a carrier, an electronic chip, a cap and a biasing apparatus. The housing has a wall defining cavity with a port open to the gas. The carrier is mounted to the wall in the cavity. The electronic chip is secured to the carrier on an opposed side from the port and includes a diaphragm portion exposed to the port. The cap is mounted to the chip on an opposed side from the carrier. The biasing apparatus is located between the cap and the wall of the housing, with the biasing apparatus being configured to bias the cap toward the chip whereby gas pressure acting against the diaphragm is opposed by the biasing apparatus.

  • Patent number: 8560193
Abstract: A system for shifting a transmission range includes a selector producing a signal representing a selected range, and the system has a primary state wherein a source of electric power shifts the transmission to the selected range in response to the signal, and a secondary state wherein a source of mechanical energy shifts the transmission to a Park range when the primary state is unable to shift the range.

  • Patent number: 5460721
Abstract: A helically wound tube made of at least two sheets of preperforated flat roll paper material. Each sheet is helically wound in edge abutting relation such that one longitudinal edge of the sheet abuts the other longitudinal edge of the sheet to form a ridgeless seam. Some of the perforations of the subsequently wound sheets overlap some of the perforations of the previously wound sheets to form a reinforced cylindrical tube having perforations that permit radial flow through the cylindrical tube.
