  • Patent number: 11960957
Abstract: A system for tracing members of an animal population throughout a process including moving at least some of the members between a plurality of physically separate locations, the system comprising: a plurality of identification devices, each being attached to, and uniquely identifying, a respective member of the members; a plurality of identification device readers, each capable of being located at a respective physically separate location of the physically separate locations, and each capable of reading the identification devices to uniquely identify the respective member; a data repository comprising one or more records, each of the records (i) being associated with a respective member of the members, and (ii) including a unique animal identifier associated with the identification device attached to the respective member of the members; and a processing circuitry configured to perform a process for storing location change records indicative of location changes of the members during the process.

  • Publication number: 20190004051
Abstract: An immune-proteomic screening of AAb responses using protein arrays has identified two panels of Aab (antigen/antibody complexes) that can potentially differentiate lung adenocarcinoma from smoker controls as well as CT positive benign lung disease. The resulting biomarkers appear to have high specificity so that high risk subjects with a positive CT screen and a positive serum test should get more invasive test such as needle biopsy for a timely cancer diagnosis, among other advantages.

  • Patent number: 7741298
Abstract: The present invention relates to compounds, small interfering RNAs and compositions and methods of inhibiting tumorigenesis using agents that inhibit the sonic hedgehog and GLI signaling pathway, including agents that inhibit GLI expression, synthesis and/or function. The present invention also relates to particular biomarkers that can be used in the diagnosis and prognosis of cancer. Methods of treating cancer, including glioblastomas, medulloblastomas, basal cell carcinomas, prostate cancer and small cell and non-small cell lung cancer are also provided using small organic compounds, siRNAs and blocking antibodies that inhibit or block the SHH/GLI pathway.

  • Publication number: 20090204334
Abstract: Disclosed are protein biomarkers and their use in diagnosing lung cancer or to make a negative diagnosis in patients. Also disclosed are kits for the diagnosis of lung cancer that detect the protein biomarkers of the invention, as well as methods using a plurality of classifiers to make a probable diagnosis of lung cancer. In certain aspects of the invention, the methods include use of a decision tree analysis. Various computer readable media and their use according to the invention are also disclosed.
