  • Publication number: 20070120890
Abstract: An inkjet printhead has a body and a heater chip attached thereto. A nozzle plate on the heater chip includes a periphery and plurality of nozzle holes. An encapsulant bead lines the periphery of the nozzle plate and has a leading edge extending in a direction away from the periphery toward the plurality of nozzle holes. The boundary of the bead embodies an irregular shape and the leading edge exists less than about 500 microns from any of the nozzle holes. A tape attaches to the nozzle plate and covers each of the nozzle holes. The tape does not, however, touch the encapsulant bead. Preferably, the tape has a narrow width portion shorter than a width of the nozzle plate. In this manner, the encapsulant bead may encroach upon the nozzle holes closer than heretofore known. In turn, the heater chip can have reduced size and silicon savings.

  • Publication number: 20040006621
Abstract: The present invention provides a system and method for controlling whether a user may access certain Internet sites when using a computer. The system and method are carried out on a personal computer having a local ratings cache, a cache refresher, a local ratings interpreter and an allow-block list. When the computer user attempts to access an Internet site referenced by a specified Uniform Resource Locator (“URL”), the invention determines whether the URL is referenced on the allow-block list and, if so, allows or disallows access to the site referenced by the URL accordingly. If the URL is not referenced on the allow-block list, the invention obtains a content category from either the local ratings cache or, if not contained therein, a ratings service.

  • Patent number: 5567337
Abstract: A block heater for the cooling fluid of an engine block has a main body with a surrounding flange at the front face for engaging into an aperture in the block. A clamping element attached to the rear face can be actuated by a screw which is rotated from the front face to pull the clamping element into engagement with the inside surface of the block to cooperate with the flange in a clamping action. The clamping member cooperates with the screw to be pulled forwardly. The rear face of the clamping member has a countersink around the threaded bore therethrough and the screw has a bore in the end face thereof so that a portion of the screw material can be worked into a flange surrounding the end of the screw to engage into the countersink portion. This arrangement prevents reverse rotation of the screw from releasing the clamping member for discharge into the engine compartment.
