  • Patent number: 5868446
Abstract: An adjustable gate latch has a striker bar and a latch component including a base with a track. The latch assembly slides along the track when engaged by a striker that is out of line with the latch member. This automatically compensates for relative movement between the gate and the associated gate posts.

  • Patent number: 5720082
Abstract: An adjustable gate latch has a striker bar (70) and a latch component including a base (10) with a track (17). The latch assembly slides along the track (17) when engaged by a striker (70) that is out of line with the latch member (50). This automatically compensates for relative movement between the gate and the associated gate posts. An adjustable hinge (80) has one of its hinge plates (82, 84) slideable vertically on the hinge pin (90). it is biased to a centre position by a spring (92). Alternative embodiments of the hinge have the moveable hinge plate threaded onto the hinge pin.

  • Patent number: 5085235
Abstract: Shown is a device to apply friction and/or vibration to the fingernails to simulate the action of placing the fignernails of one hand against the fingernails of the other hand and buffing them together in a relatively fast up and down motion. It includes four wheels or belts having spaced apart raised portions or bumps around the periphery thereof. The drive is such that the speed of rotation of the peripheries is substantially equal although the position of the individual wheels or belts is such that they are positioned to engage the fingernails of the hand because the fingers are of different lengths. Alternatively, vertically operated vibration or methods may be utilized to stimulate the nails, said vertical vibration being either mechanical or electrical.

  • Patent number: 4557005
Abstract: A hive section of plastic or wood moves along an upper raceway with the board immediately following the inner board, being supported on the underside by a support which is shaped to follow the contour of the cross section of the board for maximum support. A transverse impact bar extends between a pair of spaced and parallel endless chain and sprocket assembly and is moved thereby to strike the upper side of the innermost board thus shearing it away from the hive section and moving it downwardly between a set of guides. The impact bar is shaped to engage substantially the entire upper surface of the board. The impact bar moves the board between a pair of comb assemblies on the lower ends of the guide bars which clears out the cocoons and leaves them to fall into a catch pan or stacked upright whereupon flippers moves them away and into the catch pan so that they are not struck by the next following board.

  • Patent number: 4083452
Abstract: An improved container for medications and the like includes a first section having therein a plurality of compartments with a second section mounted to the first section in overlying relationship to the compartments with the second section including mounting means permitting the second section to be indexed to any one of a plurality of positions relative to the first section. The second section has an opening therein to permit access to any one of the compartments after such section has been indexed to any one of the above mentioned positions. The container includes locking means for securing the second section at any one of the positions indicated above, the locking means including a catch means movably mounted to one of the sections and engageable with any one of several recesses provided in the other section.
