  • Patent number: 6665895
Abstract: A playyard floor support frame includes a lock hub arranged to lie under a playyard floor, first and second floor support rails arranged to be mounted for movement in rail-receiving channels formed in the lock hub, and a base for receiving and elevating the lock hub above ground underlying the base. The frame further includes a lock controller mounted on the lock hub and configured to move the first and second floor support rails (at the option of a user) toward one another to establish a “locked” position of the frame and away from one another to establish an “unlocked” position of the frame.

  • Patent number: 6568557
Abstract: A no spill training cup includes a cup and cover with a drinking spout in the cover. The cover also has a vent opening for maintaining the ambient pressure in the cup with the vent opening being covered by a hydrophobic membrane that allows the flow of air into the cup but prevents liquid from flowing out of the cup through the vent opening. A valve housing is attached to the cover on the inlet side of the spout. The valve includes a diaphragm supported in the housing and biased to engage a valve seat in the housing to prevent flow of liquid from the cup to the spout. When a child sucks on the spout, the pressure on the outlet side of the diaphragm causes it to disengage the valve seat and allow the liquid to flow out of the cup through the spout. When the child stops sucking on the spout, the valve immediately returns to its closed position on the seat so as to prohibit the flow of liquid from the cup through the spout.

  • Publication number: 20020164917
Abstract: A child's activity center that may alternately be assembled as a stationary activity center with a seat for very young children and as a floor play set for older children. As a stationary activity center the assembly has a base that rests on the floor with upwardly extending legs that support a tray above the base. The tray may be removed from the base and placed on the floor next to it and a connector unites the tray and base together. Toys are provided on the tray and base that have a common theme to allow the activity center to grow as the young child grows so as to hold the child's interest for a long period of time.
