  • Patent number: 11199105
Abstract: An optical monitoring system includes a controller configured to determine a predicted status of a component based on an operational time of a rotary machine and an individual model. The controller is also configured to receive a first signal indicative of an infrared spectrum image of the component from one or more cameras. Further, the controller is configured to determine a current status of the component based on the first signal and compare the current status to the predicted status of the component. Additionally, the controller is configured to update the predicted status of the component such that the predicted status matches the current status of the component and update at least one parameter of the individual model of the component based on the comparison.

  • Publication number: 20210339604
Abstract: A method for defogging a window of a vehicle includes steps of automatically selecting a climate control system operating mode and determining a risk of window fogging. The climate control system operating mode is selected from an outside air mode, an air-conditioning mode, and a defrost mode. A controller determines the risk of window fogging according to one or more inputs, and the same or a different controller may automatically select the climate control system operating mode. The controller is configured to increase a climate control system blower speed to increase a rate of airflow provided by the currently-actuated climate control system operating mode. The controller may sequentially advance the climate control system operating mode through the outside air mode, air-conditioning mode, and defrost mode.

  • Publication number: 20210111448
Abstract: A cold ambient battery chilling mode of an electric vehicle may be implemented if the vehicle battery is being charged when the ambient air temperature is low and a temperature of the battery is elevated. During cold ambient charging, coolant flows through a heater core and through a battery heat exchanger. Cold ambient air may be utilized to cool the coolant flowing through the heater core, and coolant from the heater core flows through the battery heat exchanger and cools the battery during charging. A battery chiller may be deactivated when the cold ambient battery chilling mode is activated to reduce energy consumption.

  • Patent number: 10803151
Abstract: In a general aspect, a computer implemented method can include identifying, in a program code stored in computer memory, a location of a dynamic repair target code section for an assignment to a program variable, a value of which is known only at runtime. The method can also include modifying the program code at the identified location of the dynamic repair target code section to assign an immediate value different from a correct runtime value to the program variable. The method can further include inserting, into the program code in the computer memory, a dynamic repair probe code section that is executed before the dynamic repair target code and, at runtime, modifies the immediate value in the code to contain the correct runtime value when an attack has not occurred.

  • Publication number: 20200320359
Abstract: Surgical articles, such as sponges, are provided in a pack which contains individual surgical articles having UHF RFID or other electronic labels which provide both (a) unique identification information for each article as well as (b) unique identification information for all articles in the pack. Prior to the surgical procedure, the labels are scanned and the identification information for all articles in the pack uploaded to a processor to create a list of available individual surgical articles. At the end of the surgical procedure, the surgical articles are collected and the electronic labels read and compared to the initial list to determine if there are any unaccounted individual surgical articles. The UHF RFID tag may then be used to determine a location of the unaccounted article outside the patient's body.
