Abstract: The present invention generally relates to the control of fluid flow in a wellbore. In one aspect, a flow control device for use in a wellbore is provided. The flow control device includes an inner member having at least one aperture formed therein. The flow control device also includes an outer member disposed around the inner member such that a flow path is defined between the inner member and the outer member. Additionally, the flow control device includes an elastomer member disposed within the outer member adjacent a portion of the flow path, wherein the elastomer member is capable of swelling upon contact with an actuating agent. In another aspect, a method of controlling fluid flow in a wellbore is provided. In yet a further aspect, an apparatus for controlling the flow of fluid in a wellbore is provided.
