  • Publication number: 20240124612
Abstract: The present invention provides molecules, including proteins, more particularly, immunoglobulins whose in vivo half-lives are altered (increased or decreased) by the presence of an IgG constant domain, or FcRn binding fragment thereof (e.g., an Fc region or hinge-Fe region) (e.g., from a human IgG, e.g., human IgG1), that have modifications of one or more of amino acid residues in at least the CH3 domain.

  • Publication number: 20170116596
Abstract: A mobile computing device has processors, memory, voice communication circuitry, and communication circuitry configured to receive a request from a server for information to complete an information exchange. The computing device also has a display device configured to display at least one user interface window in response to receiving the request from the server. The user interface window includes a plurality of data entry fields corresponding to the request. The computing device has a proximity based communication circuitry configured to energize an external NFC device that is brought into proximity with the mobile computing device. When the external NFC device is energized, the computing device receives information from the external NFC device to populate at least one of the data entry fields. The communication circuitry is configured to submit data from the data entry fields to the server to facilitate the completion of the information exchange.

  • Patent number: 7886390
Abstract: An apparatus for wet-processing strand-shaped textile good, includes a closed container, a transport nozzle array to which a gaseous transport medium can be supplied, and a device for applying a liquid treatment agent in atomized form to the moving strand of goods in the region of the transport nozzle arrangement. The device for the application of the treatment agent is designed to apply the treatment agent to the strand of goods in two sections (I, III), which are at a distance from each other in transport direction of the strand of goods, in a form enclosing the strand of goods at least partially in a ring-shaped manner. In so doing, the gaseous transport medium is applied to the strand of goods in an intermediate region (II) located between said two sections.

  • Patent number: 7466823
Abstract: A method and system for secure distribution of digital media files including text, video, audio and combinations of these is described. A particular embodiment involves the distribution of audio tiles (particularly music) which are presently being widely distributed over the internet without compensating the various rights holders. In some embodiments, audio content (except for an optional preview section) is encrypted in a single executable file, allowing it to be freely distributed. When consumers want to access the encrypted portion of the file, a decryption key is obtained from a remote server, but because the file includes an integral decryption engine, a decrypted copy of the file never appears on the client side. Thus, there is no unprotected copy that the consumer can illegally distribute. The disclosure also describes other advantageous techniques, such as bonding the decryption key to the consumer's computer, so it cannot be used by others.

  • Publication number: 20070045307
Abstract: A textile drying machine comprises a tank for receiving textiles with a spindle inside the tank for supporting the textiles, and a solid-state radio frequency generator. The generator is connected to the spindle and the tank is earthed so that when the generator is operated an oscillating electric field is generated between the spindle and the tank, and hence applied to textiles on the spindle. The electric field heats water molecules in the textiles by molecular vibration so that evaporation occurs, and the water vapor is removed from the tank by an extractor fan. The machine may also be used to dye the textiles prior to drying, thus providing an integrated dyeing/drying machine.

  • Patent number: 6083284
Abstract: A method and apparatus for treating a load with dyeliquor includes a pump/motor set, a dyeliquor circulating system holding the load and directing all the dyeliquor pumped by the pump to flow through the load, a motor current measurement device to measure current consumed by the electric motor while driving the pump, and a throttle valve adjusted to create a flowrate of the dyeliquor through the dyeliquor circulating system based on the current measured by the motor current measurement device. The flowrate of the dyeliquor increases linearly in proportion with increases in the current consumed by said electric motor while driving said pump. The apparatus also has a low system resistance to fluid flow allowing variations in a load resistance of the load to fluid flow to produce corresponding variations in the current of the electric motor measurable by the motor current measurement device.
