  • Publication number: 20060090813
Abstract: Device and method for introducing substrate into containers such as pots or trays. The containers are transported in accordance with an essentially rectilinear path, wherein said containers are suspended between two belts located some distance apart. By varying the distance between the belts the size of the containers can be varied. The substrate introduced can be either potting compost or bark and the like. Furthermore, an opening can be made in the substrate introduced for placing cuttings. In an alternative the cutting or other plant is placed before/during filling, whilst the container and cutting rotate.

  • Publication number: 20060032591
Abstract: Method for applying a label to a flowerpot. Before placing the label the flowerpot is provided with hot melt adhesive, after which the label, which in itself is not adhesive, is pressed against the flowerpot. The hot melt adhesive is sprayed by an adhesive applicator station onto a series of pots moving past said station. In the applied position, the label protrudes above the rim of the pot. The invention also relates to a flowerpot with label thus obtained. A particular variant is a flowerpot where the label is affixed to the flowerpot using hot melt adhesive, but part of the label protrudes beyond the flowerpot.

  • Patent number: 6443349
Abstract: Device and method for inserting an information carrier in a substrate. The information carriers are stored in a storage and with the aid of transfer means are removed one by one from said storage with the aid of vacuum. The transfer means then place the information carrier concerned in the insertion element, which then executes the insertion stroke.

  • Patent number: 6151876
Abstract: A method and apparatus for the shaping of a part of a plant. To this end, the plant and cutting device are rotated with respect to each other and excess material is removed. These cutting devices can be either moveable or fixed in relation to the surroundings. The point of contact of the cutting device and the plant lies, as far as possible, `upstream`, seen in the direction of rotation. The plant can then be potted and the pot can be rotated or, the plant can be stationary while the cutting device rotates with respect to the central axis of the plant.
