  • Patent number: 11977817
Abstract: A system and method for pre-operatively optimizing a fit of an orthopaedic implant relative to a particular individuals anatomy is provided.

  • Publication number: 20090066172
Abstract: A magnetic motor that comprises two assemblies, a rotor assembly (built up arrangement of rotor discs populated with permanent magnets) spaced in circular fashion on or about the disc and a stator assembly (built up arrangement of stator discs or planes populated with groups of permanent magnets spaced apart in circular fashion) so that the magnets on the rotor disc can move between the stator magnet groups in the same plane during rotation of the rotor assembly. The rotor (rotor discs) are connected to a common shaft (drive shaft) mounted on bearings to the mainframe to allow relative motion (rotation between the rotor and the stator).
    Type: Application

  • Patent number: 7256533
Abstract: A spark plug includes a sparking electrode with a firing tip, and a ground electrode having an elongated member extending outwardly from the sleeve. The elongated member has an inner surface defining a generally circular hole. The inner surface forms a circle disposed generally in a plane transverse to and having a radial center coinciding with the central axis of the insulator body, whereby each differential segment of the inner surface radially thereabout is generally equidistant to the firing tip. The inner surface is a closest portion of the ground electrode relative to the firing tip. At least a portion of the inner surface of the elongated member opposing the firing tip has a radius of curvature of about that of the firing tip for providing a spark along a path of least resistance from the firing tip to a point on the opposing inner surface of the elongated member.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: July 27, 2004
Date of Patent: August 14, 2007

  • Patent number: 6670740
Abstract: A spark plug includes a sparking electrode with a firing tip and a ground electrode. The ground electrode includes a toroidal member, having a convex outer surface, coupled to a support portion of a sleeve of the ground electrode. The toroidal member forms an annular curve disposed generally transverse to and having a radial center coinciding with a central axis of the insulator body, whereby each differential segment of the toroidal member radially thereabout is generally equidistant to the firing tip. The toroidal member is a closest portion of the ground electrode relative to the firing tip. At least a portion of the outer surface of the toroidal member opposing the firing tip has a radius of curvature of about that of the firing tip for providing a spark path of least from the firing tip to a point of contact on the opposing surface defined by the toroidal member.
