  • Publication number: 20180226801
Abstract: A method for determining an operating strategy for an electrical energy store includes subdividing an operating time interval, for which the operating strategy of the energy store is intended to be determined, into a sequence of time segments such that constant power conditions are respectively present in the time segments in the sequence of time segments. For each time segment in the sequence of time segments, a limited number of possible operating powers with which the energy store can be charged and/or discharged in the respective time segment are determined. A plurality of sequences of operating points are determined, where each of the operating points indicates an operating power from the limited number of possible operating powers for a given time segment from the sequence of time segments, and where each sequence of operating points from the plurality of sequences of operating points indicates a sequence of operating powers for the sequence of time segments.

  • Patent number: 6636172
Abstract: In a method for adjusting a vehicle-mounted radar sensor having three radar lobes, which are emitted in a fan-shaped manner, one of which is a central lobe, and the other two are lateral lobes extending at the same angle, a reflector plate disposed at a distance from the vehicle and perpendicular to the vehicle longitudinal axis is pivoted about a vertical axis. The deviation of the reflector's position angle from an ideal position is determined. The ideal position is one in which the two lateral radar lobes produce at least a substantially identical reflection signal. The radar sensor is subsequently pivoted by a correction angle, which is equal to the deviation of the reflector plate's position angle, but in the opposite direction.

  • Patent number: 6628197
Abstract: A device is provided for controlling brake lights in a vehicle. The vehicle has a braking system designed for outside force actuation, a control device for controlling the vehicle brakes, and a brake light switch located in the vicinity of a brake pedal, which is connected with a control device for controlling at least one brake light. In order to indicate to following traffic a brake application by active braking intervention in a vehicle, the control unit is connected with the control device and operates the latter such that the brake light, even without actuation of the brake light switch, is activatable under first specified vehicle operating conditions and is deactivatable under second specified vehicle operating conditions.

  • Patent number: 6405820
Abstract: The invention relates to a distance-related electronic driving speed regulating system for motor vehicles, wherein a predetermined constant speed is maintained during a first regulating mode until a predetermined minimal distance to a preceding vehicle is reached or surpassed. When the predetermined minimal distance is reached or surpassed during a second regulating mode, the speed is regulated in such a way that the predetermined minimal distance is maintained in the form of a distance-regulated follow-on drive. If the gas pedal is actuated during the first or the second regulating mode to accelerate to an increased actual speed exceeding the momentarily predetermined speed, a new speed is predetermined by actuating a set operating element depending on the increased actual speed.

  • Patent number: 6304811
Abstract: A system for distance-dependent control of the driving speed of a motor vehicle including the detection of a traffic lane change or intention to change traffic lane and a signal for estimating the mean speed of vehicles in a target lane. When a turn signal or intention to turn is detected, the control system defines the vehicle speed and/or distance to a vehicle driving ahead in the same lane and sets this defined vehicle speed to be equal to the estimated mean speed of vehicles in an adjacent lane.

  • Patent number: 6256574
Abstract: A distance-related cruise control system for motor vehicles has an electronic control unit, by which in the event of a distance-controlled following travel with a defined following distance from a vehicle driving ahead, when the speed of the vehicle falls below a defined first threshold, in the event of a further decrease of the speed of the vehicle driving ahead, the deceleration capability is reduced independently of the maintenance of the following distance. Preferably, the momentarily defined following distance is first increased when the speed falls below a defined second threshold which is larger than the first threshold.

  • Patent number: 6192309
Abstract: In a distance-related electronically controlled cruise control system for motor vehicles, in which, during a first regulating operation, a predetermined speed is essentially maintained until a preset minimum distance from a leading target vehicle is reached or undershot, and in which, during a second regulating operation, following the reaching or undershooting of this preset minimum distance, a speed regulation takes place in such fashion that the set minimum distance is maintained by following the target vehicle ahead at a regulated distance, and in the event of detection of a standing object ahead of the target vehicle traveling ahead of the source vehicle during the second regulating operation, after the previously leading target vehicle veers aside thus causing a transition from the second regulating operation back to the first regulating operation, acceleration to the preset speed is prevented if the distance to the standing object is below a first threshold and/or if the actual speed is below a second
