  • Patent number: 7863544
Abstract: The invention relates to an arrangement (1) for the on-line monitoring of the quality of a laser process exerted on a workpiece (3), comprising a laser source transmitting a laser beam (4) to the workpiece (3), the thermal process of the laser beam (4) causing emission of electromagnetical radiation (7) from the process zone on the workpiece (3); a heat detection camera (8) for detecting the electromagnetical radiation emitted from the process zone of the workpiece (3), wherein the arrangement (1) is provided with a tilted non-focussing mirror (5) such that the laser beam (4) which is transmitted by the laser source is let through the tilted non-focussing mirror (5) towards the working piece (3), and the electromagnetical radiation (7) emitted from the process zone on the workpiece (3) is reflected by the tilted non-focussing mirror (5) towards the heat detection camera (8). The invention further relates to a method using such an arrangement (1).

  • Patent number: 6727986
Abstract: Method and device for measuring a folding angle of a sheet (6,25,26) in a folding machine, whereby a number of distances are measured in a plane (28) that crosses the sheet (6,25,26) and the element (4,24,7), whereby a distance profile (19) of the measured distances is determined, and whereby the folding angle (A) of the sheet (6,25,26) is determined as a function of the angle (B,B1,B2) between the sheet (6,25,26) and the element (4,24,7).

  • Patent number: 6046428
Abstract: Laser cutting device comprising a movable cutting head, cutting table for supporting a workpiece to be cut, a movable loading and unloading carriage for the placing of the workpiece on the cutting table and again removing it here from, as well as a product carriage for stacking up cut workpieces. In order to make the cutting head more dynamic and to facilitate the loading and unloading of the cutting table according to the invention it is proposed to make the cutting head only movable in the horizontal plane and to make the cutting table vertically movable. The cutting table is formed by a number of parallel vertical plates standing at mutual distance from one another between which a fork of the loading and unloading carriage can reach. The fork does not need to be able to perform a vertical movement.

  • Patent number: 5829288
Abstract: A method and device for folding a metal sheet to a well-defined angle, in which the sheet is deformed in the recess of a die through a punch being moved above the recess and pressing on the sheet, towards the die, until it reaches a well-defined end position. The movement of the punch is regulated as a function of the folding force and of the folding angle. The punch is moved in the direction of the die until it is in an end position Ya corresponding to: Ya=Yt-dYw-dYr in which Yt is a calculated position, dYw is determined through extrapolation of the course of the folding angle as a function of the position of the punch, and dYr is the correction of the position of the punch which is necessary to compensate for the spring-back of the sheet.
